"This is how we spent our first 15hrs at The Sea Ranch where they can care less about their customers! When we checked into our room the tv didn’t cut on. They send someone and he cuts the power on. We proceed to go to dinner and when we came back to the room the tv was completely froze and nothing worked. The person they sent to look at it said it was an internal issue and that they would have to move us to a different room all the way across to the other side and on the 4th floor at 11pm! ...

"I took my 3 kids for a few days over spring break. It was an easy and beautiful path up to the beach. The indoor pool and indoor hot tub was a life saver as it was too cold to do anything else outside most of the time we were there. The front desk staff were super nice and the hotel continental breakfast was so convenient. "

"This is our second time staying at John Yancy. Its nothing fancy but it has a great breakfast with a beautiful gazebo to eat at if you choose. Staff is nice. My biggest complaint was the wifi connection at night. It kept buffering or disconnecting which made it frustrating with little ones. "

"On the main drag, 1/2 mi from US221 S toward Asheville, about a mile from US441 east to the NC piedmont. I thought the Rhodes was great. Loved the way the room was trimmed out, suited me perfectly. You gotta want something a little different to enjoy the place; some will find the hiker chic a tad underwhelming. Thought the lobby was wonderful, the bar and restaurant look nice, didn't get a chance to eat there. Somebody took an old motor lodge from the postwar boom and updated it very well....
