"Angie and Phil have the most amazing place! We loved every minute of our stay and would go back in a heartbeat. This listing was one of the rare occasions where the pictures really do it justice... It was everything we imagined from the photos. We loved the private pool and beach but we also really appreciated the quiet privacy of the location; off the main road and tucked away, and far enough away from the main attractions of Placencia that we truly felt like we were all by ourselves at times....

"Due to another guest's need for no stairs, we were upgraded to a larger unit upstairs in the front. A wonderful large covered deck with hammocks was nice but it was pretty noisy, being a few feet from the main road. Kitchen was well equipped and the bed was comfortable. The grounds were landscaped and attractive. There was a grocery store a few doors away."

"We stayed for 5 nights in this beautiful house right on the beach. Our children (6,9,11) loved going outside the back door and playing in the water, the sand, and lounging in the hammock. "Mark, Sabrina and Dean were amazing hosts. They work together well to ensure you are well taken care of. They really know how to make you feel welcome. They stayed up late to greet us, woke up early to say good bye. We received great recommendations from them all. We loved our stay. Watching the fish and manatees at night from the pier was such a highlight and not to mention the incredible bar and fresh coconut water from the coconuts. "

"Really enjoyed my stay at Areca House. I was there solo for a vacation; however, it would be fine too for a couple. Great location to the beach (just across the street), as well as close to restaurants (within walking distance). It was great to enjoy Garifuna places of interest (wonderful food, etc.). Doc responded quickly to my initial inquiries, and Janette provided a helpful introduction to the place after I arrived. Would recommend Areca House!"

"We absolutely loved our stay! We felt it was super cozy and location was great as we had a golf cart. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in and falling asleep to the waves of the sea was pure magic. We loved sitting on the balcony and taking in the sea. It was truly the perfect stay. You absolutely need a car or golf cart. We rented a golf cart and was super easy to put put around. The hotel district is very close, and the village where all the good food is also not too far....

"Our family vacation of 8 adults and 9 children was fantastic. The pool was perfect for many volleyball games and enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards provided. We used chef Aaron for 5 of the 7 dinners and was outstanding. Ellen was there to help with anything including help organizing a special 50th anniversary party. Thanks to all for a memorable stay"

"It’s was amazing !!! The 3 separate buildings, a private pool, cabana , outdoor Showers & soaker tub ….it was simply the best place we’ve ever stayed !! The wildlife during the day, and the night is just absolutely phenomenal! The stars are like something you’ve never seen before in your life if you’ve never been to a place that dark.
