O funcionário do hotel nos mostrou os Kookaburras (pássaro que dá nome ao hotel) que aparecem no final da tarde para receber comida. Há vários cangurus pela região. Da varanda do quarto dava para ver cangurus e cacatuas-da-crista-amarela bem de perto. Além disso é próximo do Grampians National Park que possui várias mirantes e trilhas interessantes."
