"The only thing about the weekend stay was we returned from a coastal walk on the Saturday to enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace only to be met with a crowd of party goers and a DJ. We couldn't get anywhere near the terrace but was lucky enough to get a seat inside with a view. Still not the same as it was such a beautiful day we wanted to be outside. "This is the best place we have stayed in, everywhere is clean, room gets cleaned every day and all the staff is friendly. Breakfast is amazing, both cooked and continental. In a quiet area and walkable distance to the centre. Would definitely come here again"

"Ideal location above south beach and looking out on Cauldey Is. Good breakfasts, comfortable bed. Just outside town wall so quick easy cut through to main st and harbour. 10 mins walk from station"

"Breakfast was ok but items on menu extra had to be paid for. Room was clean but dated. Shower was an electric shower that was nearly unusable. Low pressure and no temperature control. No replacement shower gel was left after room was cleaned. Staff were excellent and restaurant was well presented. Hotel room a low 3 star at best."

"Very well-situated in centre of town, with shops and restaurants on doorstep. Room unpretentious but everything worked as it should. Bed very comfortable. The pub downstairs was friendly and good to sit in at the end of evening."
