Specifically designed to put the incredible water views on full display, this stylish retreat also features beautiful wood floors, high ceilings, a cozy fireplace, and a wood-burning firepit. A prime locale on River Road offers convenient access to a wide variety of coastal attractions in the area, like Marshall Point Lighthouse and Birch Point Beach State Park. Enjoy direct access to the water, just steps from your front door!

Wall-to-wall windows in the living area showcase gorgeous views of the ocean and the surrounding islands. Air-conditioning and an electric fireplace add a warm ambience to the room. Stretch out on the plush sectional and stream your favorite shows on the Roku TV (streaming available with guests' own login credentials). The well-equipped kitchen features a full suite of upscale appliances, including a gas stove and a French-door fridge. Serve up tasty dishes at the adjacent bistro table. Wake every morning to stunning ocean views in the primary suite, which features a Roku TV and a sparkling en-suite bathroom that offers a walk-in shower. Comfort awaits in the second bedroom, which is also outfitted with a Roku TV. Around the corner, the guest bathroom is configured with a walk-in shower.

Things to Know

The loft is not for guest use.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ā€˜Yesā€™ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the ā€œDamage Waiverā€). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Had an amazing stay at this charmer on the coast! Very clean, comfortable, and well cared for. Spent many hours just watching the ducks and birds enjoying the treats that come and go as the tides change. Great jumping off point to enjoy the beautiful coast of Maine! The only drawback is that the road is incredibly close to the house and the traffic noise is impossible to drown out, especially when trying to sleep in the second bedroom. Not ideal, but we would definitely return!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Tenantā€™s Harbor. The house was clean, bright and roomy enough for two couples. The kitchen had everything we needed. We loved hanging out in the living room as we watched boats going across the bay and the sunrises were gorgeous. We explored the general store, which had everything you might need, and friendly cashiers. We ate delicious meals at the Eastwind Inn, and explored Camden and Rockland from the cottage. The road noise did not bother us but it does happen as the cottage is right on a curve. We loved the location and views.

Unbelievable views, well appointed, comfortable sleeping and seating options. Easy to find and in a great area. Served as home base for our daily excursions around the state. Best coffee views! Road noise took a bit to get used to but views made it worth the stay.

We enjoyed our trip very much. First, the good. This house is big enough for our party and is kept very clean. The sofa and lounge chair are comfortable. All-around windows bring in cool breeze and stunning views. Kitchen is adequate for some light cooking. There are nice sitting areas outside facing the ocean and you can lean back and enjoy the view to your heart's content. If you are into stargazing, you will not be disappointed. The nightly sky reveals itself like sparkling beads worn against a black velvet dress. Second, the not so good. We visited during busy vacation season and that could be the reason why the service was a little lacking. We found only one roll of paper towel and no dishwasher detergent even though Vacasa (property manager) suggests us to start dishwashing upon leaving. Message about towel and detergent via Vrbo went unanswered. We just went out and bought the missing items ourselves. Also, the paper towelā€™s quality was so poor that it broke down on contacting anything wet. Small matter, but it does impact the experience overall. The table and chairs match kind of esthetically. But the chairs are too low for the table (even for adult male of average height) and it is hard to sit and have a meal or play board games comfortably.

We absolutely loved this little cottage, so much so, I wish I could take it all home with me. The cottage was light filled and comfortable. I loved the blue and white decor. The outside area had many different choices. I sat out with my coffee every morning, and we enjoyed cocktails out on the Adirondack chairs. I also very much appreciated the air conditioning, as it was an unusually hot week in Tenant's Harbor and there was hardly a breeze to be found. I would highly recommend this cottage and we will be back!

The house is lovely - lots of windows for sunlight, clean, and beautifully decorated. We had a great time. House is, however, VERY close to the road and lawn wasn't mowed until late Sunday (we arrived Friday and were scheduled to leave on Monday) which made lawn games a bit tricky.

We loved our stay at The Salty Cove cottage! The space was neat as a pin and had wonderful modern updates and charming coastal decor. We had everything we needed for the most part. The only thing we needed and didnā€™t find was a pizza pan. We loved how comfortable the beds and living room furniture were. The real star of the show however, was the view. Itā€™s just stunning! I loved waking at sunrise to look at the water and drink coffee. My husband and son really enjoyed checking out the tidal pools. One of the best rentals weā€™ve stayed at to date!

Only 2 complaints. Took several days to get a reply to an email I sent from the VRBO site between when I booked and our stay. And, we did not get the email with the key code information until after we had arrived which was very unsettling after driving an hour plus to get there. Other than that it was wonderful. The cottage was sparkling clean, very comfortable and beautiful. Everything you could need in the well stocked kitchen and laundry room. Having 2 bathrooms was a bonus. And it truly was just steps to the harbor. It was literally in the back yard. The views were spectacular, even in fog and rain. Hiking trails close by and just down the road a charming little store that seemed to have anything we needed. They aren't kidding when they say only room to park 2 cars at the cottage so plan accordingly. We will definitely book here again. Me Aybe summer or fall next time rather than March.

I very much enjoyed my stay at the cottage. It was impeccably clean and orderly. The views are fantastic!! I was able to watch a winter storm dump about 2 feet of snow and it was a sight to see. There was a slight hiccup with a frozen shower pipe due to the weather but the team was Very responsive and had someone out right away to remedy the issue... a very nice local man who had some great stories of the area. This place had everything you needed for convenience, but bring a white noise machine if you have someone sleeping in the 2nd bedroom. The road is close, not annoyingly so but you can hear cars if that's something that will bother your sleep. I loved this place and hope to visit again in the future! Thank you so much. Jillian

What a gorgeous place and location! We enjoyed wonderful sunrises and just looking out over the harbor. The place is well decorated and very clean. The only drawback is that it is very close to the road so you have cars going by but after awhile you donā€™t even notice it and it is mostly quiet at night. Would highly recommend this place!

We booked online after reading the reviews. It was all it was said to be. Very clean and comfortable. Two bathrooms is a rare find and so is a washer and dryer. Right on the rocky coastline on River Road, which is Rt.131 in St. George. Close to Rockland , Rockport and Camden where there is shopping and restaurants and other things to do. Very pleased with the cottage and location.
