"Great location about 10 minutes drive into the City.
Large, clean room with tea, coffee etc and fresh milk in fridge & bottled water too.
Quirky room as part of an old pub so floors a little uneven and steepish staircase to get to rooms, but didn’t detract from the stay.
Breakfast was delicious and staff all extremely friendly & helpful.
As it’s a pub, you are obviously aware of noises from the pub during the day and evening but as soon as it closes, it’s very quiet."

"Lovely lodges, well maintained and nice hot tub
Only disadvantage is not being able to keep the car at the lodge as my friend has poor mobility. We had been promised the lodge closest to the restaurant building, but we weren't put in there unfortunately"

"Small double room, knightwick, has a toilet that leaked. The whole bathroom and bedroom stinks of mould because the floor must still be damp from the leaks. This room should not be used. The smell was so bad we had to leave the fan and light on all night. This was v noisy but preferable to the stink. Rooflights open all night. The door is a folding type so you can't even shut the smell out. Such a shame because the restaurant, pub and area are lovely and the food v good. Would pay not to stay in...

"Overnight stay with my colleagues - gorgeous, traditional little place. Evening meal was exceptional (Roast Chicken) and the breakfast options were excellent. We had a slight issue at breakfast where noticed one of the cafetières didn’t seem to have any coffee mixed with the hot water - a bit unlucky when travelling with Italians! But aside from that would definitely book again without hesitation."

"I have written hotel reviews for many years and have always tried to be fair. Good hotels deserve praise; poor experiences deserve honesty. This is one of the very few occasions on which I have felt genuinely let down.
The facilities advertised are exactly what they are: no air conditioning, no lift, no gym, no laundry service, and no in-room safe. That is not my complaint. We booked the hotel knowing those limitations.
The problem was the room itself. We were allocated Room 3, directly above a...

"The host was very helpful. She was very flexible in allowing us to pick up the keys early on the day of our check in. Despite there being a storm the weekend we stayed, the room was fantastic, lovely breakfast in the morning, and stunning views. If in the area, would definitely look to book again. Thanks."
