Historic residence with swimming pool and garden

Dimora Ada is situated in the historic centre of Taviano, only six kilometres from the beautiful beaches of the protected area of Sant'Andrea Island and Punta Pizzo. The house is a fusion of different styles, a custodian of recent and distant memory. It represents the two sides of a precious coin: the worn and lived-in one of the past and the speed and comforts of contemporary living. Here, tradition and modernity live side by side.
The first part of the house is fitted out with high-quality furniture, created by skilled craftsmen, and embellished with objects linked to the past. A beautiful hall with sparkling crystal chandeliers greets you as you enter. The hall leads into the middle of the house: a dining room with a large arched door that opens onto the most modern area of the property: a beautiful patio covered by a structure in copper and glass. The comfortable wicker divans encourage guests to indulge themselves with a nap, maybe after taking advantage of the adjacent relaxation area that includes a large whirlpool tub and Turkish bath. Close by is a spacious kitchen with professional appliances such as you’d find in the best restaurants. In the middle of the kitchen is a large hob surrounded by a wooden counter with stools. The steel furnishings give the whole kitchen an industrial look. The kitchen is equipped with an American refrigerator and various small and large appliances. The sleeping area consists of four double bedrooms: two in the Empire style, with beds with leather headboards; the other two are furnished with antique furniture rich in inlay work and Baroque-style ornaments. There are three fully-equipped bathrooms: two of them ensuite, the other, with double wash basin, tub and shower with hydromassage serves the remaining two double bedrooms. Returning to the well-lit patio, the large sliding glass partition leads through to the most charming part of the house: the beautiful citrus garden that in spring, between April and May, inebriates the visitor with the delicate scent of orange blossoms. At the end of an old path is a recently built swimming pool with all the accessories. This is the most exclusive area of the house where guests may relax in close contact with nature. An ancient niche watches over the pool area, almost as if it wishes to remind us with its presence of the magnificent origins and history of Dimora Ada.

The surrounding area
Taviano is a pretty town in the Lower Salento region that, due to its privileged position, is well connected to Lecce and the most famous tourist spots. It is only a short car journey to the beaches of Gallipoli (10 km away) and Torre San Giovanni, 15 km away. Further along the coast we find Torre Mozza, Lido Marini, Torre Pali, Pescoluse and Torre Vado. A 35-km drive takes you to Santa Maria di Leuca with its higher coastline and beautiful caves and grottoes.
Taviano has the privilege of being a town that enjoys both land and sea. With Mancaversa, its marina, it has carved out a characteristic space for itself among the towns along the Ionian coast. The exclusive Lido Pizzo (6 km away) and Punta della Suina (9 km away) with their white sandy beaches and crystal-clear blue sea are easily accessible.
The entrance to Dimora Ada is located on Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, the town’s main shopping street. Here you will find all the services you need: restaurants, bank, bars, famous pastry shops, and shops of all kinds, which seem to have been created specifically to benefit tourists and visitors.


Supplies
Dimora Ada is fitted out with many comforts: bed linen and towels, pool towels and bathrobes are available to guests upon arrival. It is possible to request a change of linen for a fee. In the bathrooms you will find a hairdryer and shower products. The kitchen is supplied with every type of small and large appliance (American fridge, dishwasher, immersion blender, kettle, toaster, capsule coffee machine, Moka coffee maker, pans, dishes, plates, water and wine glasses, set of kitchen knives, etc.).
The professional hob works with gas. In the house there is a service room with electrical appliances and cleaning products, ironing board and an iron. The fourth bathroom is equipped with a washing machine, wash basin and toilet. Each room has air conditioning and a TV. The house is served throughout by a high-speed Wi-Fi connection, including the pool area. In the relaxation room you will find a large hydromassage bathtub and Turkish bath. The three bathrooms are fitted out with wash basin, toilet, bidet and shower. The largest bathroom has a tub and a shower with hydromassage and a double wash basin. In the garden is a pergola with a table and chairs for eight people and a barbecue corner. The outdoor area has lighting for the evening. By the pool are six sun loungers, three beach umbrellas, two deckchairs and a tea table with chairs.
