"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here overall, but the experience was bookended by two entirely different worlds. Check-in on the afternoon of 18 August was an absolute breeze—the receptionist who assisted me was a proper professional, welcoming and efficient, setting a cracking first impression. Unfortunately, check-out on the morning of 19 August (around 10:00 a.m.) was an absolute shambles that completely derailed an otherwise brilliant stay, courtesy of the two older reception staff....

"Room was tired and need refresh, cracked decor. Beds were clean. Light pollution from garden into room, lack of decent curtains. No breakfast during weekdays, did not bother with weekend. Noisy environment from pub and landlord’s flat next to room. Would not recommend."

"Set in the quiet countryside, access is down a private drive leading to a secure carpark in front of the main building. The staff were very welcoming and the food served was very nice. Our room was very comfortable and we enjoyed our weekend"

"We had a lovely stay. The cottage is beautiful and kept really well. There is ample parking and a café next door. There's not much more than that around without a car though, but it's very peaceful."
