Het appartement is ruim en heel sfeervol ingericht. Het heeft een mooi terras met ligstoelen en zitjes maar het meest spectaculaire is het uitzicht op Taormina, de kust en de Etna. Werkelijk fantastisch! Een pluspunt vonden wij ook dat wij gratis konden parkeren op eigen terrein.

Excellent, clean apartment with wonderful views of the coast and Etna.

We had a lovely holiday in a beautiful location. Franceso, the owner was extremely helpful and accommodating. Taormina, although touristy, is a beautiful, friendly town with lots of history and a very attractive main street. The beach at Isola Bella was clean and safe with a number of restaurants serving local food. Prices are a littel expensive but can't complain, given the location, cleanliness and attraction of the area.

It’s all about the view

This property is located a bit higher than the town, so the view is magnificent. You are facing the sea and mount Etna, and Taormina below. It doesn’t take long to get back and forth to the Main Street of taormina but one should be warned that the steps are many, and steep. Still, one can use a taxi to head back. The owner is very nice and personable and communicates very well whenever you need him. There is a large terrace that we had access to, and our own private terrace as well. Everything in the apartment works ok but may need a bit of a facelift. It is obvious that the owner loves his home and takes very good care of it. We had four beautiful days there. We are very satisfied.

Un appartement de rêve !

Que du Bonheur ! L'appartement est décoré avec goût et raffinement. La vue de la terrasse est magique: la baie de Taormina et l'Etna...Nous n'avions même pas envie de sortir le soir pour profiter pleinement de ce spectacle naturel ! Francesco est adorable et prévenant, soucieux de notre bien être. Nous le remercions très sincèrement...Une excellente adresse que nous gardons fort précieusement !!

Location is beautiful

Francesco was wonderfully attentive. He left us with bottled water and wine. The property and views cannot be adequately described in pictures. They are simply breathtaking! The secure parking is essential. The bed is firm and comfy . In the cool mornings we would walk up to Madonna la Rocca for views and cafe. The only disturbances were the ceaseless barking dogs at night. Earplugs helped somewhat but the dogs live very close by

Eine Perle von Ferienwohnung

Wir durften diese wunderschöne und liebevoll eingerichtete Ferienwohnung 14 Tage genießen. Die Beschreibung im Online Inserat hat unsere Erwartungen total übertroffen. Die Aussicht vom Balkon, der ausgesprochen groß ist und die Möglichkeit der Nutzung der riesigen Dachterrasse, die einen Rundumblick über Taormina/Naxos und den Etna bietet ist grandios und sensationell. Wir haben wunderschöne Abende bei Wein und Leckerein auf dem Balkon verbracht und das Lichtermeer aufgesogen. Mein Highlight aber war, jeden Morgen auf zu wachen und als erstes aus dem Bett heraus diesen thronenden Vulkan zu erblicken. Da wir ein Auto hatten, war es natürlich sehr angenehm, dass wir auf dem Gelände parken konnten. Zumal ein elektrisches Tor zusätzlich für Sicherheit sorgte. Ist nicht zu unterschätzen. Für den Weg ins Zentrum kann man die Treppe, die gleich hinter dem Haus beginnt, nutzen. Voraussetzung ist, dass man gut zu Fuß ist. Ein besonderes Dankeschön gilt Francesco! Schon im Vorfeld hat er auf eine sehr charmante Weise mit uns über Whats App kommuniziert. Am Tag unserer Ankunft lagen im Kühlschrank Wasser und Wein. Seine liebenswürdige, unaufdringliche und fürsorgliche Art, sowie die Möglichkeit ihn immer zu erreichen, ist schon eine Besonderheit. Wir empfehlen das Apartment unbedingt weiter!!! Auch wir werden wieder kommen!

Perfect view

Great location and rare onsite parking.

Right from the beginning Francesco was very helpful and had some great suggestions for restaurants. Our favourite was Pizzeria Zuccaro, which not only had good pizza but was good people watching. The apartment has a very nice terrace with full on views of the sea, Taormina, and Mt. Etna. We also had access to a shared rooftop terrace with 360 panoramic views. Spectacular! The bathroom was very spacious with tub, shower and bidet. The bed is in the living room next to the couch which we became accustomed to and didn’t pose any problems. It was like staying in a cool friend’s apartment with their books and family photos. The kitchen is very small with little counter space. However we just used the nearby dining table for food preparation. Note there is no oven or microwave. Not an issue for us but may be for others. We really appreciated the on site parking and the nearby steps that allowed us to reach the centre of the city in only a few minutes rather than taking the road. Great stay.

No better place to stay in Taormina

Absolutely fantastic spot to enjoy all that Taormina has to offer. The views from the apartment are incredible and the decor is homey and comfortable. Outstanding bathroom and shower and plenty of room overall. Short walk down a stair-filled path to the pedestrian area of the city. Private, gated parking. Fantastic price for such an incredible property. Additionally, Francessco was very responsive, helpful, and friendly.

14 Tage Erholung pur.Einzigartige Lage mit traumhaften Aussichten. Eine liebevoll eingerichtete Ferienwohnung, die keine Wünsche offen lässt. Unvergessliche Abende auf dem Balkon oder der Dachterrasse - dezente Livemusik aus einem Hotel in Taormina inbegriffen. Die Strände gepflegt und in der Nachsaison wenig frequentiert. Ein herzliches Dankeschön auch an Francesco für seine unaufdringliche und hilfsbereite Betreuung.

Taormina From the Top - A Great Vista with Comfortable Living

Our stay at Francesco's Taormina apartment was a highlight of our visit to Italy. This cosy, clean and spacious bed-sitter apartment for two gave us stunning views from its large balcony over the azure blue Mediterranean Sea below with its plentiful cruisers and yachts as well a great view of Mt Etna, seemingly almost next door. In July the air conditioning was a bonus and ensured the comfort of our stay during the Summer season. In summary, the apartment had all the amenities needed for an enjoyable visit to Taormina - a large bathroom with good shower - good kitchen with adequate fridge, stove and dining table - comfortable bed - TV - and if needed, free Wi-Fi plus books. Another great asset is the owner, Francesco. He kindly picked us up with our luggage from the Taormina bus terminal and transported us to the apartment via the super market in order to stock up for our stay. He was readily available to us at all times. Like most Taormina properties, the apartment is located well uphill from the sea. This however is Taormina but the views and the character of the surrounds are the reward. If the walk down the hill is fine but back up is daunting, taxis are plentiful and not expensive. Francesco will give you the contacts. There are many very good and reasonably priced restaurants to be found in Taormina and its surrounds. Once again, Francesco will guide you. We thoroughly enjoyed our Taormina stay in Francesco's apartment and have no hesitation in recommending it to a couple seeking a cosy location for a comfortable private holiday with value all round.

Ein perfekter Urlaub in Taormina, meinem persönlichen Highlight Siziliens

Wir haben im Mai einige Tage in Francescos Appartement verlebt und waren mit unserem Urlaub in Taormina rundum zufrieden. Die Lage der Wohnung ist einzigartig und das ist der größte Pluspunkt. Wir haben viel Zeit auf der Terrasse verbracht um diesen wirklich phänomenalen Ausblick zu genießen. Die Wohnung ist wie beschrieben und wird eigentlich vom Besitzer selbst benutzt. Von daher viel Privates. Einige Kleinigkeiten hielte ich für verbesserungswürdig und schreibe dies der südländischen Mentalität zu. Küche wurde nicht viel genutzt, war nur für Kleinigkeiten geeignet und die Supermärkte im Ort nicht gut bestückt. Restaurants gibt es in großer Zahl, so daß Kochen nicht nötig war. Uns hat es aber super gut gefallen, Francesco war sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns vom Busbahnhof abgeholt. Die wunderbare Dachterrasse kann bei Bedarf auch genutzt werden. Sicher nicht zum letzen Mal dort gewesen.

Wunderschön...

Wir waren vier Tage in Francesco's Apartment oberhalb von Taormina. Die Innenausstattung ist sehr schön und geschmackvoll, so dass man sich direkt wohl fühlt. Vom Balkon hat man dann einen sehr schönen Blick über Taormina. Ein ganz besonderes Highlight ist aber, dass man morgens aus dem Bett heraus einen Blick auf den Gipfel vom Etna hat .. natürlich nur, wenn die Rolladen hochgezogen sind. Wie bereits beschrieben, ist die City über die Treppen gut zu erreichen, und der eingezäunte Parkplatz ist ebenfalls sehr angenehm. Francesco ist als Vermieter sehr hilfsbereit und bei Bedarf über Whatsapp immer gut zu erreichen. Es gab eine Situation, wo das für uns sehr hilfreich war... Wir empfehlen das Apartment auf jeden Fall gerne weiter!!!

Wonderful terrace and views

Wonderful position overlooking Taormina and Mt Etna. Francesco could not have been kinder or more available when needed. My only comment would be that lacking an oven, a microwave would have come in handy. Yes the steps into town were a challenge but not insumountably and there are plenty of taxis available for the return (10 euros). Our weather was not great but we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Taormina and in Sicily as a whole.

Wohl einer der schönsten Ausblicke in Taormina!

Von Balkon und Terrasse einzigartiger Blick aufs Meer, auf den Ätna, auf Castelmola. Richtig viel Platz, luxuriöses Badezimmer, sehr sauber. Francesco ist hilfsbereits, stets erreichbar und gibt gerne Tipps zu Ort und Region. Der Weg zum historischen Zentrum, Cafés, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ist wirklich in ein paar Minuten machbar - der Rückweg sportlich. Alles ist gut ohne Auto zu machen. Wer aber aufs Privatmobil nicht verzichten mag: Einen abgeschlossenen Parkplatz zu haben ist ein nicht zu überschätzender Luxus in dieser Lage!

Simply stunning!

Upon arriving in Taormina via bus from Catania, Francesco picked us up from the station and drove us to his incredible apartment which was about 5 minutes drive up the hills. The apartment was absolutely breathtaking. The pictures do not do it justice. The room and bathroom was huge and the balcony took our breath away - every time we went out there! The view of Etna was amazing. We had breakfast every morning there and dinner which we cooked ourselves in the kitchen. The lights from down below are something special. Only 5 minutes walk to the Corso, yes the steps are steep but very doable - and if you want the views it is so worth it! Francesco was lovely and incredibly hospitable. He even took us back to the bus station on the morning of our departure. We could not have wanted more for the first stop of our Italian adventure, and this really is the most perfect apartment to enjoy what is around you. We will miss Taormina greatly!

Wonderful apartment!

Quirky, homely, Sicilian ,welcoming and stunning.

My Wife and I had a wonderful week staying in Francesco`s studio apartment, he was very helpful throughout our stay ensuring that we had everything we needed and provided a good introduction on our arrival day and was very easy to communicate with .Being English we like a cup of tea and when we enquired that we couldn't find a kettle he went and brought one for us that we could use on the gas hob whistle and all.As described in other reviews the view is just amazing , the stairs down to the town are a bit of a task coming back but it help burn of some of the wonderful food found in the excellent restaurants in town ,for those not so eager there are buses and plenty of cabs for you return upward journey.The balcony is a nice size just watch out for the birds who fly above and below but wonderful to watch with a nice cup of tea or coffee in the morning.This is one of my best value for money places I have rented on this site as the surrounding area is exceptional wonderful just dont try the stairs twice in one day. Lastly you will see a cross above the villa and if you like to explore and find the steps that lead up to it (you need to walk carefully along the road going up till you see some stairs)you will find a nice restaurant we booked table for the sunset which was brill and the food and wine at the restaurant was also good.

Heerlijk huis, fijn balkon en dakterras, goeie douche, prima bed. Vlakbij het dorp, wel 256 treden..

Een echte aanrader, huurauto voor het huis op de oprit, achter het hek. Het gaat om een grote kamer met daarin een keukentje, eettafel met 2 stoelen, 2 banken, een uitstekend bed, televisie, badkamer met bad, douche en dubbele wastafel. En het mooist is wel het balkon, in de zon maar met zonneschermen, stoelen, bankje, 2 ligbedden. En wil je nog meer, gebruik dan het dakterras. Het uitzicht is adembenemend: je kijkt op Taormina, Giardini Naxos, de zee en de noordkant van de Etna. Het dorp is heel leuk, 256 treden naar beneden, max. 10 minuten lopen naar de Porta Catania. Terug dus 256 treden naar boven. Is goed te doen. In de omgeving genoeg te zien. Wij hebben hier 11 nachten gelogeerd en er enorm van genoten. De ontvangst is heel hartelijk, Gianfranco spreekt goed Engels. Met een fles wijn op tafel en 3 flessen water en boter in de koelkast voel je je zeer welkom.

Spectacular surroundings inside and out

We spent 4 nights at Francesco's apartment and were delighted with the property (set in a lovely garden), the apartment (tastefully and impeccably decorated in blues and turquoise, evocative of Greece), and the incredible views in every direction from the large terrace and the even larger rooftop terrace. Our host met us at the bus station and not only brought us to the apartment, but later drove us down to get a few groceries and supplies for our stay, waited for us while we shopped, and drove us back up again. The apartment was spotless and bright. It has a tiny but well equipped kitchen, strong wireless connection, and good heating/air conditioning. The bathroom is large and lovely, with his-and-hers sinks, a tub and a shower. The bed is extremely comfortable--and you won't want to shut the curtains because it is a treat to fall asleep and wake up to the magnificent view of Mount Etna and the changing blue of the Mediterranean, which is reflected perfectly in the decor. We didn't bring a car (though there is parking), so we walked the steep and challenging steps down to town and back up again a couple of times a day. You need to be reasonably fit to do this.
