The location is definitely the hotel’s strongest point. Cleanliness is also excellent in the room. That said, it is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel nowadays to claim that there is “no internet.” The explanation given was that the internet provider was having issues, and that this had been going on since December. The response was always the same: “We spent hours on the phone with the provider and they don’t know what is happening.” According to the staff themselves, this problem had already lasted for over a month. Internet is a basic service, just like hot water in the shower. Not having it is simply not an option. If one provider is not working, the hotel must hire another one. It is that simple. This is not a problem that should ever be pushed onto the guest. Front desk service is also very poor. There is little to no professionalism or courtesy, with the exception of one staff member who usually works the night shift and was genuinely polite. At check-in, we were received by a man who literally threw things at us: the pen was tossed across the counter, the paperwork was thrown, and even the room key was not handed over but thrown as well. Perhaps this feedback will help him understand that this behavior is not “cool” or casual, it is rude and unacceptable. You do not throw things at guests. The hotel itself is very unattractive. The room is functional and serves its basic purpose. Choose this if you are in a budget wallet.

Overall, the stay was alright. Could have been worse, could have been better. To start, here are the things we liked: - location was far from the most touristy places (i.e. Waikiki) - Quiet (for the most part) - free kayak usage, beach towels, etc. - friendly and helpful staff Here's why we would choose another place in the future: - $28 daily parking fee - Upon arrival, the bathroom smelled like urine. The front desk staff got it taken care of swiftly, fortunately. - The bathroom towels were dirty and clearly not washed with bleach. They had a bunch of different stains and discoloration from various substances. - Bed sheets were the same as the towels, with a stain that looked like old blood. Gross. - The shower never got "hot" and didn't feel satisfying after a long day hiking or at the beach. - The driveway to get to the lower portion is insanely steep and not paved in a way that offers much traction. Our rental started spinning the tires on our first (and last) ascent. We witnessed multiple others struggling too, whether in cars or trucks. - The kitchenette faucet would not retract all the way and if used as intended, would spray water everywhere. Paradise Bay "resort" is less a resort and more of an island motel, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just not a resort like they'd have you believe. If the cleaning issues can be resolved, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, if for nothing other than the location and friendly staff.

Quarto bom, bem equipado com cozinha. Excelente localização. Estacionamento precisa pagar 40 dólares/ dia, o que eu achei um pouco caro .
