Great location near Tahoe Donner
The unit was clean and ready when we checked in. We had plenty of space and the game area was a huge plus! We have 2 kids and they loved the board/card games. Also, the location was perfect. It was easy to get to and very close to Tahoe Donner which is a great ski area to teach kids/beginners to ski. We will be visiting again in the future.

Great Location - Access to Palisades, Northstar, Heavenly
Great stay and the unit worked just as we needed. Clean upon arrival. Unfortunately our huge Chevy Suburban did not fit in the garage, but there was plenty of other parking to spare. Great communication with property owner with very clear instructions. Fairly priced.

Well-stocked kitchen. Lots of sleeping space. Nice supply of games, books, and beach towels. Emailed instructions were very clear. Parking was easy. Everything was in working order. I would definitely book here again.

Very pleasant condo. Lots of room for two people and also for more. We had a short visit however having a garage to store ski gear etc in the winter is a huge benefit. Very clean and pleasant backyard deck

5-star location and like visiting ur grandma’s condo
This condo is perfectly located to enjoy the Truckee area. The condo has medley of spices and a keurig which is a plus. The garage was too small for our vehicles. The condo reminded me of visiting my grandma…dated furniture with a hodgepodge of decor and random cooking pots/pans/tools collected over many years. A good scrubbing would bring my review to 5-stars. Note this is a 1-full bath and 1/2 bath condo (I read the listing as a 2-full bath condo). The owner was in touch frequently about a missing key issue prior to checking in. It all worked out in the end. The owner definitely wants to make your stay enjoyable.

5 days in Tahoe Donner
Great location, walking distance to Trout Creek Rec Center, the Lodge at the golf course and the Z Market. My Tundra was too large for the garage but there is ample outdoor parking. Would rent again.

It is impossible for me to change the weather in a storm warning where the highway had been closed and major damage was being done. Heavy snow falling and coming off the roof clogged the water heater vent. I had it cleared that morning and more snow fell later that day causing the same problem. I was VERY generous $ wise refunding you 1 night that VRBO said they could not do because of the no refund clause. When you come to Tahoe during the winter you MUST expect mother nature to rule!

Clean and equipped rental
Carol’s place had everything we needed for our stay. It was clean, well maintained and had thoughtful touches such as ziploc bags, aluminum foil and condiments in the kitchen, as well as enough toiletries for the stay. The great atmospheric storm hit while staying at Carol’s and she was very responsive to our inquiries about when the snowplow would come dig us out of the condo complex. We would definitely stay again.

Comfortable, convenient condo & helpful owner
We had a nice stay in this cozy condo. Carol's communications were terrific, and she reached out to make sure the condo was clean upon our arrival after the previous guests had left a mess. Her check-in and check-out instructions were clear and concise. The condo fit 4 of us comfortably, with room for 2 more, though there is not seating for 6 in the small living room. The beds were quite comfortable. The kitchen, as is often the case with rentals, lacked some items (sharp knives, more than one small baking pan, a salad spinner), but otherwise sufficient for cooking.

Great Condo & Awesome Location
We stayed at this property for two nights and had an absolutely great time! The kitchen had all of the essentials and then some. It was very clean and met all of our needs, having a garage to store bikes was an added plus. This is a great location as it is right across the street from the recreation center so all we had to do was walk across the street to access a spectacular pool. I would highly recommend this property to anyone staying in the Truckee area!

Memorial for Mom - Perfect Place
The condo was ABSOLUTELY perfect!! We came to The Lodge at TahoeDonner to celebrate the life of my mother. TahoeDonner is where I learned to ski and where my Dad was a National Ski Patrolman on the weekends. My Mom would come on Wednesdays with her girlfriends. TahoeDonner and Donner Lake have always been very happy places for my entire family. Thank you for providing a wonderful place to stay!

Lovely deck with table and umbrella.
Plenty of space to spread out. It’s nice to have a second bathroom (1/2 bath). Bit of street noise, so avoid if you’re very sensitive to noise. We’ll stocked kitchen (utensils, pots and pans, silverware, etc., also some condiments, spices, coffee). The generous sized back deck was our favorite part of the house, it spills out onto a large open space shared by neighboring homes.

This property was very nice, and Carol was wonderful to communicate with. There’s so much to do in the area that we didn’t spend much time there. But it was comfortable, a convenient location, and served our needs well! The kids loved the checkers nook!

Great Stay
This was a great house for a Spring Break ski trip with my two children. The house features a great open floor plan and the kids loved sleeping in the upstairs loft with twin beds. The Roku downstairs meant we could easily stream content and the wifi was strong and stable. Carol was a great host as she provided clear instructions and was highly responsive communication wise.

Cozy Condo
I stayed here with my teenage son and his friends for a ski vacation. There was plenty of room for them to each have their own bed, hang out, and relax. The boys seemed to navigate their way through the TV and were able to bring up their Netflix and Hulu accounts to watch movies which also made them happy. The kitchen was well stocked, the place was clean and tidy, check-in was easy and we had no problems. As mentioned in other reviews, the garage was a little small (our minivan was too long to fit), but easy parking next to the garbage huts. AT&T had very little service in that area, but with wifi (instructions in the condo), we were able to make facetime calls. Overall, a great stay!

The property is as it states and as shown in the photos, and was large enough to accommodate the 5 of us with no problems. Our stay was interrupted by two snow storms, a lack of power, cell coverage, and heating. The owner was most helpful: frequently in contact and helped advise us when the hot water went out, and updated us on the driveway snow removal and upcoming power outages. We found TMobile had better coverage than AT&T at the property.

Great place to stay!
We really enjoyed out stay at this property. It is within easy access of all sorts of activities (Lake Donner, King's Beach, Northstar, Truckee river, etc), but is far enough away it feels remote. The view from the back deck is serene, the property itself was open and light inside. There were lots of little touches inside that made it feel comfortable and homey (small notes of info to help navigate the lights, TVs, etc, board games, well stocked and clean kitchen). We would definitely stay here again.

the condo was just perfect for our stay, it had everything you could possibly need, everything was explained in detail, check in process was extremely easy, super clean, area is beautiful. will be staying here again for sure, only small issue was the shower because it was kind of hard to regulate the water but other then that it was perfect

Wonderful Get-Away
Carol's property was lovely! The condo is spacious, comfortable, and provides great access to all-things-Tahoe Donner. It's most convenient for Trout , the nature trail, and even the 'corner store..' We loved hiking on the cross-country trails and couldn't have asked for a better weekend retreat.

Cute rental
Nice rental and good location for summer too! Grew up visiting the Donner area and this rental is in a really nice spot. Truly right across the street from Trout Creek Rec center and sled hill. I was very surprised by the space upstairs! Lots of room and the ceiling fans were a life saver when I stayed during a heat wave. Only glitch I had at times was with the internet going in and out which caused some issues with the tv. I didn’t bother the owner with this as it wasn’t a big problem for me... I was mostly cooling off at Donner lake or enjoying a book on the cute back patio. Traveling solo was also great to have a garage to safely park in at night. I have a Subaru Forester and it fit just right. Anything bigger won’t fit, but there was open parking on the side of the driveway just steps from the front door. Now that I’ve found this cute rental I hope to return.

Good clean house
Enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and well maintained. Stocked with all essential items. Beds were comfortable. The weather was hot when we were there and so it would have been nice to have an AC. The only problem was internet did not work. So if you plan to work from there, do make sure of it. It was not a problem for us. We survived. Carol was responsive when we emailed, called her. Overall pleasant stay.

Enjoyable Stay!
Comfy beds, soft towels and a great location are what you will find. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen and Carol’s detailed information while in Truckee to enjoy a family vacation and time with family from Reno. There is a great deck and board games when you need a little break. We found nature trails right out the door to start our day. Thank you!

It was terrible the cleaner missed the cleaning. Nothing I could do so I offered $100 for you to clean. It was booked as 4 adults and 1 child. It turned out as reported by neighbors that no child was seen and at least 8 adults were there. 3 cars were parked overnight. A noise complaint was filed by a neighbor. No noise after 10 p.m. as posted. When you left and the cleaner came in she immediately reported the unit was in " a terrible mess". This has never happened before. She took pictures of bags of garbage on the patio, kitchen left filthy etc. etc. It took her 4 hours to clean. Because of the additional time spent to clean I withheld $100 from the security deposit. Since you felt this was unfair you contacted VRBO and a case file was opened. I have answered all of their questions but have not heard back regarding their decision. In stead of this being used as it is set up to be, a vacation rental to be followed by the rules, it became a "party house". You are the one that did the rental and that makes you responsible for what your friends did. If they are "good friends" maybe they could reimburse you.

Great house in fantastic location
We spent a long weekend in Carol’s house. The place was described as a condo but it’s a good sized house with plenty of space for sleeping, eating and playing. We played monopoly in the loft after skiing and it was so fun. My girls built a snowman in the backyard and used the sleds to go down the hill. We will come back!

Nice stay, close enough to the resorts
Great location if you have kids. The snow park is across the street and you can play in the snow right by the house. It was just what we needed, a place to sleep and relax. We were asked to take the trash out, but it was already full, so we did our best to put as much as we could in the bin. Also, the back patio area wasn't available due to all the snow, no fault to anyone but mother nature. The only bummer was that we needed to make reservations for the snow park, so be sure you do that before you go and the garage was a very tight fit. Be prepared to test your driving skills backing into it. We would definitely book again.

Ana Marie: Thank you for your comments. The garage is a tight fit for large vehicles but it sounds like you managed very well. Hopefully next snow season reservations won't have to be made for the snow park. Due to the virus they had to make sure the numbers in one area were safe.
