This gorgeous lakeview home has all the best Tahoe City has to offer – an ideal West Shore location with short distances to town, the beach, and popular bike paths. Designed for year-round relaxation and adventure, the home offers spacious gathering rooms, luxurious amenities, and access to the exclusive Tahoe Park HOA private beach, pier, and picnic area. The property includes access to the garage, which can fit one car or serve as storage for bikes and gear, as well as a two-car driveway for added convenience. Whether you're visiting for summer fun or winter slopes, this retreat promises an unforgettable Lake Tahoe experience.

Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed by a convenient mudroom, perfect for stowing jackets, boots, and outdoor gear after a day of Tahoe adventures. On the entry-level, you'll find three inviting bedrooms designed for comfort and relaxation. The Primary King Suite is a tranquil retreat, featuring a private deck with breathtaking lake views, a TV (streaming only), an en-suite bathroom with a luxurious jetted tub, and direct access to the hot tub on the lower deck—perfect for unwinding under the stars. The Second Bedroom, with its twin-over-full bunk bed, is ideal for kids or smaller groups and is conveniently located near a shared bathroom. The Second King Suite offers ample space, lakeviews and privacy with a TV (streaming only) and its own en-suite bathroom, making it a serene escape for couples or additional guests.

Head upstairs to the main living area, where you'll find an inviting open-concept layout ideal for gathering and entertaining. The bright and spacious living room features large windows that showcase stunning lake and forest views, a cozy wood-burning fireplace, and a comfortable seating area with a flat screen TV (streaming only) perfect for movie nights or quiet relaxation. For dining, head to Shadyside Restaurant or Firesign Cafe for delicious local meals. Tahoe House Bakery is nearby as well.

In the winter, this home transforms into a cozy alpine retreat. Enjoy easy access to world-class skiing and snowboarding at Palisades Tahoe and Alpine Meadows, both within a 20-minute drive. REQUIRED COUNTY STR PERMIT INFORMATION: STR 22-6040 | TOT #8256 | Max Occupancy is 8 | 3 Parking Spaces. Parking on the street is strictly prohibited. All vehicles must be parked in the driveway and/or garage at all times. Guest must agree to read and comply with Placer County's Good Neighbor Policies.

County Rules
As part of the Short-Term Rental Permit for this home, the county asks that we share the important rules and regulations with you. We appreciate your cooperation in following the guidelines listed below, also included in your signed Vacation Rental Agreement.

Maximum Occupancy: There shall be no gatherings, events, weddings or other group functions on the Premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the Agreement.

Parking: Parking on the street is prohibited at all times. All cars, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage and/or driveway.

Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are 9pm-8am, seven days a week. Per the County: No sound may be audible from the property line during quiet hours. Amplified sound (such as speakers) shall not be used outside or be audible from the parcel line of any short-term rental at any time.

Lights Out: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors at night.

Red Flag Warnings: Due to high risk of wildfire in our area, bonfires, charcoal barbecues, and wood-burning fire pits are always prohibited. On designated Red Flag Warning Days—when fire danger is especially severe due to dry conditions and high winds—all outdoor fires are prohibited, including gas grills and gas fire pits. These restrictions come directly from the North Tahoe Fire Protection District and must be followed for everyone's safety. It is each guest's responsibility to stay informed about Red Flag Warnings. They are announced on local news, radio, and social media, and you'll also see signs posted at fire stations throughout the area.

Winter Driving: Many highways, access roads, and driveways in the Tahoe area can become icy during the winter. For your safety, it's essential that between November 1st and April 30th your vehicle is winter-ready. Make sure brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater, and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires should be properly inflated with excellent tread, and you should always carry tire chains—even if you have an AWD/4WD vehicle. Double-check that your chains fit your tires and are in good working order. On many state highways and county roads, four-wheel drive and snow tires are required for safe travel.
Please be prepared for winter conditions: dress appropriately, stay in bounds at ski resorts and if you get lost, remain in place.

Garbage & Bears: Please do not feed the bears. Black bears are very common in this area and, over time, many have become used to human food and trash. Because they no longer have a natural fear of people, you may see them during your spring, summer, or fall stay. Feeding bears is illegal, and leaving food outside, trash unsecured, or doors and windows unlocked can lead to serious property damage to both homes and vehicles. To help prevent this, all waste must be placed in bear-proof bins or dumpsters and the latches secured. Placer County sorts recycling from the waste for you at our materials recovery facilities.

Office Holiday Hours
The TTVR office is closed on New Year's Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate check-ins and check-outs on these dates. Thank you for understanding.

I have stayed at hundreds of VRBOs over the years, and this is was one of my favorites. The layout is perfect, keeping sleeping areas separate from gathering areas. The home feels comfortable and homey, not like rentals. It was extremely clean - did not even see a single spider (rare in Tahoe).They always say kitchens are well stocked, but that is often a bit of hyperbole. Here it was not. Anything a cook would need is here...down to a waffle and espresso makers!The beds and linens are extremely comfortable, and I am very picky about that. While I don't typically complain about beds, I will point out when they are exceptional.My dog also enjoyed the property - the open space behind the house was perfect for him to wander about under my supervision (no fencing, but he is highly trained and under voice control at all times). Our purpose in going was to hike Desolation Wilderness, Meeks Bay Trailhead, and this house gave us easy access to Tahoe City for food, yet just a quick drive to the trailhead.The neighborhood is quiet, and there is an easy walking/hiking trail just up the street at the dead end. DON'T MISS walking up there to see the view!! We sort of stumbled upon it when taking my dog for his pre-departure walk. There are long logs set out to allow you to sit and appreciate the unobstructed Lake Tahoe view.The Property Management Company was great - super responsive and easy to work with.The owners have done a wonderful job with this property.

Relaxing, long weekend with family

My husband and I treated our son and his family on a four-day weekend. The house had everything that we needed. There were very comfortable beds and lots of games for my grandchildren. The locks on the house are a little tricky, but we got used to them. The view from this house is very beautiful. Each evening we sat out on the deck and admired the lake. Having access to the HOA was wonderful. My grandsons loved playing in the water and diving off the dock. Definitely one of my favorite houses in Tahoe.

What a gem of a home

We absolutely loved our stay. It was perfect for a small family and pup plus another couple. The view is spectacular and the kitchen is well equipped. We will for sure be back to visit here again.

Terrific Tahoe Sun !!!

Fabulous Lake Tahoe views from this well appointed home in a lovely neighborhood! The home was very well equipped and the association pass to the lake side beach park was a bonus! TY! Short drive to the Palisades for skiing and central to town as well. We would definitely consider Tahoe Sun for a future trip!

Beautiful Home - Views of the lake too

Enjoyed the home very much. It's quiet and the snow came and came. The home is up a hill so you really need to be comfortable driving in the snow which wasn't an issue for us.
