Sandstone apartment Beaches Coastal walks Excellent cafe & restaurants All within 3 minutes of the front door. On arrival, the entry key will be left in a location for you to access as per the check in instructions
The sandstone apartment is located 300 metres to Tamarama Beach & 350 metres to Bondi Beach. The "M Deli Cafe" is directly across the road which has delicious coffee, juices, breakfasts and lunches along with the local bus stop.
Apartment Description The apartment was cut and built into the Bondi sandstone with the generous help of my 3 children and friends over 2 years. It has exposed sandstone walls with polished concrete floors & plywood timber ceilings.
The apartment has an ocean and boat theme with a 48 year old timber kayak hanging on the main feature sandstone wall.A large wood carved sperm whale is on the window sill with a couple of old boat propellers, rudders and a ships steering wheel. The apartment is located below our home.
Apartment Inclusions The apartment is 85 square metres in size.It includes a Kitchen with gas cook top, electric oven, microwave, fridge, washing machine, dryer & kitchen table. Queen sized bed is provided in the main bedroom. The living room contains 2 three seat couches and has space for 3 single sofa beds if accommodation is required for a third, fourth or fifth person. All bed linen & towels are provided. Separate bathroom with toilet, vanity & shower -Shampoos, conditioner & soaps are provided.Please note the bathroom is designed to be a wet room and has no shower screen. The living also has a ping pong table is available for your use as well
Internet WiFi is available throughout the apartment.
Access We'll provide you with keys , so you can come & go as you please.
Apartment Climate Because the apartment is cut into the natural sandstone rock - there is generally a different climate - cooler than outside in summer & warmer than outside in winter. It can be a humid in the apartment after rain however we have two dehumidifiers if the humidity becomes uncomfortable. The sandstone is designed to allow the ground water that naturally comes out of the rock to trickle down over the face of the sandstone.This is a feature of the apartment - the water then drains to a catchment drain where it is pumped to the outside. A pump system is also used to remove the shower, toilet, kitchen & washing machine waste water to the outside sewer system.
In times of heavy rain the apartment can be humid and may not be the best choice for those who suffer from Asthma.
Beaches Bondi Beach - is located 5 minutes walk Tamarama Beach - is located 3 minute walk. Bronte Beach - is located 10 minutes walk.Bondi Beach is the safest of the 3 local beaches and is patrolled by professional lifeguards all year around.
Walks The famous Bondi to Coogee coastal walk is 3 minutes from the front doorstep.This walk takes 2 to 3 hours to complete the return journey.The walk does continue past Coogee to Maroubra for those who may want a longer walk.
Cafes & Shops There is the delicious "M Deli Cafe" across the road which is open 7 days a week and offers food for breakfast & lunch.There is a general store a 4 minute walk away and post office across the road also for any supplies required during your stay.
Takeaways,Restaurants and Bars It is a 4 minute walk to local takeaways,restaurants,wine bars and local hotel .The famous Bondi Icerbergs club is a 4 minute walk to where you can sip a beer and dine in the bistro whilst over looking the evening sunset,surf and waves of Bondi Beach or dine in the upsatirs in the 5 star dining Icebergs restaurant.
Parking The parking in our street is restricted to 2 hours during the daytime however there is unlimited parking overnight from 8pm to 8 am. Unlimited daytime parking is available in the adjoining streets - the closest being 50 meters away - however at night parking is in high demand - so finding a parking space can be up to 200 meters away .
Bus & Train Regular bus services are available to Bondi Junction train station and the City from the bus stop across the road from the apartment. Bus 380 - Bondi to Bondi Junction and then onto Circular Quay in the City (30 minutes to City) Bus 381 - Bondi to Bondi Junction only (10 minute trip) Buses run every 20 minutes or so until midnight.The train trip from Bondi Junction to the city is 10 minutes with the trains running every 20 minutes or so until midnight.
Airport The Sydney international and domestic airports are a 25 minutes drive away & cost approx $50 by taxi (longer during traffic peaks) & are accessible by public transport too. There is also the Eastern Suburbs shuttle bus service that can pick up from our address to the airport and cost $25 per person.
To make a Booking Please make a reservation request or instant booking request for the exact dates that you require. Use the calendar tab on our listing to see our availability month by month. If the dates you require are not showing as available on that calendar, it's because we're booked for those dates.
Fees Cleaning: We know how annoying hidden cleaning fees can be so we do not charge a cleaning fee. Our standard clean involves vacuuming, mopping, wiping/disinfecting surfaces, washing linens. Our decision to not charge for this. This comes with certain expectations to clean up after yourself in all spaces. Failure to do so will result in additional fees.
Cost structure: Base nightly rate covers 2 guests. Additional guests will incur a fee of $25 per person per night.
