Our least enjoyable VRBO experience ever. The condo itself was ok, although really cramped. Please be advised that "loft master bedroom" means the upstairs bedroom is open to the living area below (most people would probably deduce that I suppose, but we did not). Also, I do not believe anywhere in the description it shares that there is no elevator in this building. For older folks, that would probably be important to know if you are staying on the top floor. Much to our chagrin, the week we stayed, construction workers were completely gutting and remodeling the condo directly below ours. The noise from 9 am till 4 or 5 pm, Monday thru Friday, made any type of daytime rest or relaxation impossible in our room. Understandably, our condo owner was not directly responsible for this (as he rudely told me wife on phone) but it would have seemed like somewhere in the VRBO guidelines, information like this should be made available to future renters. IF a couple had been renting the condo we were in with a newborn or small child, it would have been catastrophic for them. As I said, the condo was clean, the ac worked great, the kitchen was good ... but there is no place for any more than 4 people to set down together for a meal. The only table we found was more like a TV tray. :)

Great weekend getaway

Long weekend getaway for Labor day. 3 nights. King bed in loft was very comfortable. Plenty of towels provided. Kitchen had all the things needed. Nice location. Short walk across the street to the beach. Pool was nice. Mostly had it to ourselves except for one evening. Only ever saw one other family the whole stay and they were very nice. Close to local restaurants. Overall nice weekend trip. My only complaint would be that the condo could use a good deep cleaning and a little maintenance like fresh paint maybe update some of the decor and bedding but nothing major.

Great Location is about the only thing this place has to offer

This property needs a cleaning from top to bottom. The mattress in both downstairs bedrooms needs replaces, they are horrible, we hardly slept. It looks like someone went to a thrift store and bought old, mismatched furniture. I have picture of this unit that I would like to send to someone. I feel that this property would be below the standards of Vrbo.

Awesome stay

We were really pleased with our stay. There was plenty of space for the six of us. It had everything needed to cook our meals. Great ocean view from the living room and just a short walk to the beach. Loved it!

The property needs a good overall cleaning. Replacing an air filter, and light bulbs shouldn’t be necessary for the renter. Still had a very wonderful vacation. Thank you for opening your home.

Loved it!

We have a family of six (two teenage boys, seven year old and two year old daughters) and we had plenty of space. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking in the condo and the stackable washer and dryer was easily accessible and accommodated surprisingly large loads. This is a huge deal for me, because I do laundry daily at home as it is and it keeps me from having to pack so much for a large family. We utilized the pool quite often and spent the majority of the time having it to ourselves even though the parking lot was full. The neighbors on one side are full time residents and we met them. Very sweet! I’ll list pros and cons for all of those crazy people like me out there. Pros: Spacious, clean, well-equipped, all tvs working and newer, walk-in closet in the loft bedroom, extremely comfortable king bed, washer and dryer, great location, saltwater pool Cons: Third floor lifted property, so basically like a fourth floor and no elevator. I knew this going in, but I have a disease that affects my mobility and my legs were super mad at me by the second day already. The two year old is also very independent and wanted to go up and down the stairs one by one with just a hand hold, so that got old quick. Haha! The loft is roomy and comfortable just like a room, but the sound from the living room to the loft and vice versa is as if you’re in the same room. Utilize a sound machine for sleep!

Great family place!

Having three bedrooms that could comfortably accommodate a family of 5 was excellent. The condo was spacious and clean. The owner answered any questions I had immediately. The property is right across the street from a beach access point, so no lugging your beach gear a long way. Highly recommend this place.

Clean and Good Location

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is great (right across from the beach and one mile to restaurants and shops). The unit itself was clean and had everything we needed. It is a little tired though and could use some fresh paint and updating. I don't know that we would stay here again, but would instead try to find something newer. That said, the price was fair for the condition (less expensive than other options). If you want something for a reasonable price that is clean, comfortable in a great location, this is a great unit. Just don't expect everything to look brand new or recently renovated. Overall, it was a great stay and the price was fair for the unit.

Very good location and a very nice property

The apartment is very nicely located with easy access to the amazing Surfside beach a 2-minute walk away (crossing the street through direct beach access). The apartment itself is very nicely laid out with two bedrooms (one with two twin beds and the other with a double) and an adjoining bathroom along the entry-way, a well-supplied kitchen, a small but comfortable living area, and a huge loft with a queen-size bed, walk-in closet and bathroom. The balcony overlooks the street and out to the ocean (visible between buildings that are located on the oceanfront itself). Most appreciated was the host's availability and flexibility. Anyone with mobility challenges will want to be aware not only that the apartment is located on the third-floor of a building with no elevator but also that the loft is also accessible by stairs only. Stores are easily within a 5-10 minute drive.

Stay at 303 Surfside by the Sea

Loved that the owner had beds already made and towels set but would be good fir the owner to update the condo info as there were discrepancies about whether we would be charged for these amenities. Only other minor complaint was that some of the cookware was burnt out/useable that should be replaced. Owner should also advertise that chairs and beach toys came with. Great place!

Perfect

I have a family of 5 all girls except for my self. The place was very clean and roomy. The up stairs loft was perfect for the wife and I. It was a very short walk to the beach, we used my daughters wagon to tow our stuff and it worked out perfectly. Nice quiet family oriented neighborhood as well.

I loved it. Only thing was we weren't sure on what the actual check in time and the check out time was. Because one thing said check in was at 3 and another said it was at 4. And the check out one said 10 and another said 11. That was the only thing.

Nice family time at the beach

This condo is well appointed and comfortable. The beach access from your own backdoor is wonderful and leads to a portion of the beach that is quieter than some other areas of North Myrtle Beach. Truly a relaxing time.

Wonderful family vacation spot!

We enjoyed our stay at Surfside By the Sea. The condo was spacious, and we especially enjoyed having the loft space. We loved being able to have the ocean view, even from the second row. Bernadette was always very quick to respond to any issues we had. It was a great place to stay for a family vacation!
