Our extended family of 17 loved our stay and had plenty to entertain us inside the house! Theater, game room, pool and sauna were a big hit with the 8 grandkids. And we loved taking short winter walks through Billings Park and down the steps to the river trail.

This place is amazing! It worked perfect for our family trip to see Bentleyville. We had 9 adults and 3 kids ranging in age from 6 months to 75 years old. Other than seeing Bentleyville, we stayed at the house and enjoyed all the amenities! Host was very responsive and checked in with us mid-stay to make sure we had everything we needed! If you are on the fence about this place, splurge and book it! You won’t be disappointed.

This property was absolutely amazing! Very comfortable with plenty of space for our large extended family to spread out - both inside and outside. We loved the beautiful sunsets over spirit mountain, well equipped outdoor space with paddle boards, kayaks, and fishing equipment, proximity Billings park , plenty of chairs for around the fire and grill etc. The indoor pool and game areas were such a treat. The property managers were extremely responsive and promptly addressed and questions or concerns we had. We hope to return to this home again in the future, highly recommend.

Family gathering

The whole family enjoyed every part of the house because it rained 3 out of 5 days. The pool was wonderful and the game rooms and cinema room were fantastic. The pool could have been warmer, it was chilly. We will definitely be staying again and recommend it to others. Even old people can play air hockey.

Large group gathering

This house was perfect for our large group of childhood friends getting together to celebrate our 50th. Plenty of space inside on the rainy days and a great location for fishing, kayaking, and pontoon rental on the many beautiful days. Space was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Highly reccomended.

Wonderful experience!

Everything about the listing is very accurate and there were a few outdoor updates that were not in the pictures. Communication was clear and our experience was top notch--even got to see the baby bear run through the backyard!

My entire family (parents, s, spouses and kids) stay. We had a great time! It’s a beautiful house. We enjoyed kayaking, corn hole, ping pong tournaments and swimming! Can’t wait to go back. We even got to see the resident black bears! Perfect family vacation!! Thank you!

Our family reunion was a terrific success, due in great part to the roominess and quality accommodations we experienced at your home. 6 Grandkids were enthralled with the swimming pool , kayaks and Stan-Up-Paddleboards, the theater room and the top bunks of the bunkbeds. The adult kids enjoyed the firepit, the nearby walking paths, the lush green yard and sleeping on the bottom bunks below their kids. The Senior Siblings & Spouses enjoyed cooking, the grill, the ample fridge space, smart TVs and a plethora of laughter among everyone. We even saw the mama bear and her cub, yet managed to keep them out of our trash. Our only comment would be about the trash. We arrived and there was plenty present from previous renters… We left even more. The outside bin was filled to the brim upon our arrival, and was never emptied during our stay. 26 folks create a lot of trash, the big bin could be emptied every 2-3d. The Baxters thank you for sharing your lovely home. We hope to be back.

Great family time

My family enjoyed everything about this property including a beautiful view of Lake Superior and fresh flower bouquets. Rooms and beds for everyone, 11 of us from 6 to 66. Large dining table with seating for all plus multiple living room seating areas to spread out. The lower level with an indoor swimming pool, sauna, theater area, and game room with an extra fridge provided multiple activity options. The backyard fire pit had more than enough chairs for everyone. Four of the family enjoyed kayaking from the private dock.My family is from Massachusetts, Washington state, California and Iowa. Northern Minnesota has been a favorite vacation spot and this home provided a wonderful place to gather together.

Pleasant but not perfect

When paying such a large dollar amount for a stay, I expect perfection. The property had amazing spaces - living areas, bedrooms, outdoor patio, pool, etc. I also very much appreciated an early check-in that really helped us out with some important plans we had for that evening. On the flip side, there were blinds that didn't work in one of the bedrooms, a non-working griddle, garbage found under couches/bunk beds, and garbage in the recycling bins that we had to disperse to the garbage dumpster so there was room for our recycling. It was also frustrating to have the cleaning person arrive a few minutes before 10am when check-out time was 10:30am. As a VRBO property owner myself, I prefer when a guest messages me issues privately so I can apologize and resolve them. Oftentimes we don't know unless someone says something. I sent a message about these issues to the property manager the day we checked out but received no response so I'm not sure if they will be addressed. The cost to stay did not add up to a similar value.

Big house with a great view.

Family gathering. Kids loved the pool and the large recliners in the movie area. Bunk beds were nice but need some ladders help getting into the upper bed area. There is a second fridge/freezer in the basement game room which was nice to have for extra food items.

AMAZING!!!

This house was amazing ! It had everything I thought I would need to bring . Extra paper towels , towels , trash bags & even ziploc bags . The host was really easy to contact & responded really quickly . I would and will definitely book this house again!

Amazing Place

Ski Weekend - 3 Families

3 Friends from college, our husbands and 8 teenagers had a blast at this property. Skied Spirit Mountain for two days then enjoyed allthat this property had to offer - pool, sauna, movie area, game room etc. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have a wonderful time.

A few issues

Since it was hot during our week there, air conditioning in the bedrooms would have been appreciated. The handyman came a couple days after we arrived and we were happy to have him tighten the wobbly kitchen sink faucet and especially to fix the master bedroom outside metal shade to let light and air get into that room. The first time we ran the dishwasher, the dishes did not come out clean . We investigated the drain/filter and found it to be full of sludge-apparently it had not been cleaned for months. Cleaning that and the sprayer arms took a couple hours. Then we regularly washed out the filter in order to keep the dishwasher doing its job of cleaning the dishes. Another issue was the shortage of hot water for showers (necessary due to hot weather) and for the operation of the dishwasher. All that written, we very much enjoyed the kayaks, fire pit, TV, and especially the pool. Grounds were very pretty and clean.
