Crooked House with no art

Overall, the home was clean but def shoddy workman ship regarding the remodeling of the home. The stove is slanted, the shelf in the kitchen is not level, the hole from the door banging into the bathroom wall and then covered up with a bathtub sticky and painted over....while creative, it's tacky. The cold water in the tub does not have a stop valve. There is a coffee pot but no coffee cups. And there is not a stitch of artwork throughout the house.

House not ready at check-in

When we entered the property, there was a laundry hamper with dirty towels in the hallway, an unmade bed (clean but missing the comforter - it was in the dryer when we got there) and a poo stain in the toilet. The owner messaged us letting us know that they ran out of time for cleaning? I don't know why that is an acceptable excuse unless we are getting a discount or money back.Based on previous reviews this doesn't sound like the first time either....I would have complained to VRBO and the owner, but we only had enough time to drop our stuff and head to a wedding so no time to change anything. Also, the fridge water dispenser didn't work. They had a separate water station, but that was empty.

This was one of the worst experiences we have ever had. I booked this place for my wife, kids and grandkids. The morning of arrival I messaged and asked for the access information. Didn't hear back. I messaged again in the afternoon - Nothing! I messaged two more times and finally contacted VRBO. I spent an hour on the phone with VRBO who could not get a hold of the owner as well. VRBO wanted to compensate an overages in finding a new place however, VRBO doesn't allow same day bookings. Now my wife, kids and grandkids were stuck...several hours away...while I had to scramble and find a place for them to stay. It was an absolute nightmare. The message I finally received from the host was a cancellation due to children age requirements - which was not an issue. Save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else. VRBO did not properly elevate the concern and my family was stuck in an awful situation.

Just what we needed

Simple space that suited our needs perfectly. Hard to find a fenced, dog friendly stay. Only thing that would have made it better was making sure the dog poop was cleaned up in the backyard. It was everywhere. Dog owners should be doing it themselves but if they don’t it should unfortunately fall on the property owner.

On arrival we found that the beds had dirty sheet piled on them along with dirty towel. I contacted the owner and he said that he would discount us but never ended up giving us any refund back after 2 months of trying.

Short drive to the fairgrounds

Perfect for our needs. Went to see a concert at the fair and wanted a place nearby to sleep. Worked out great.

Disappointing Experience – Would Not Recommend

ur stay at this property was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, the rental was dirty, had an unpleasant odor, and was far from what we expected based on the listing. To make matters worse, the WiFi was almost unusable. Given the condition of the property, we had no choice but to find alternative accommodations. When we reached out to the host, they showed little interest in resolving the issues or accommodating us. Instead of taking responsibility, the host made excuses about the condition of the rental and only offered a partial refund, even after we provided pictures as requested. Overall, a frustrating experience and poor customer service. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

We just stay for one night but we enjoyed it. The owner was verry helpfull about delivery at the house prior our arrival. There is a really nice in the town of Sumner.

No sheets on beds, no trash pick up, not cleaned, 0 comms with owner

No sheets on beds, dirty laundry in the hamper, the unit had not been cleaned, hair in sink and tub, trash in cans and not taken out. No response by owner at all. Mysterious refund on VRBO. From owner? Thanks? Who knows. Cannot recommend the experience. It was in a safe location right next to a cop’s house. Other than this, no art on walls, closets chock full of personal items. Appeared to have an interior camera and listening device in kitchen. Looked like owner throws everything in closets when a booking gets made and then takes off out of sight out of mind.

Not Clean

The house was not cleaned at all. The beds had obviously been slept in (comforters pulled back and sheets messed up), dirty floors, rug, counters, etc. Contacted the host and he was initially responsive but overall did nothing and stopped responding. I had no where else to stay so I had to do laundry and clean the house just to be comfortable. Do not recommend.

Family visit

Enjoyed this comfortable home in a beautiful older neighborhood. Perfect location with restaurants, transportation & a nice park within walking distance. The dog appreciated the fully fenced backyard. Host was very responsive to our questions. We would stay again.

Needs to be cleaned and updated

While the property was decent, it definitely needed a good deep cleaning. When we arrive, there were clothes in the washing machine that felt damp. Didn’t know if they were clean or dirty. Also TV in the living room speakers were blown and therefore couldn’t even watch TV. There is literally no parking, except for one spot directly in front of the house, and you are at the mercy of the neighbors. The yard needed to be mowed. The kitchen is not well stocked with utensils and cooking supplies. Some of the dishes in the cupboards were dirty. Overall, just not really impressed.

Cute and Cozy

My family and I came up to Washington to go troll hunting and this rental was in a perfect location in a cute little town, safe neighborhood and close to shopping and food. We had our dog with us and found some amazing parks near by for her to run around and play. This rental has absolutely everything you need, the beds are comfy, had AC for the hot days, wifi and every appliance in the kitchen you would need :) a cute little backyard for our pup to run around in was a big plus. We really enjoyed staying here. Next time we come up we will be staying here :) Thank you to the manager for fast response to all my questions.

Good landing pad

We stayed here to attend a dog show at the WA state fairgrounds. We were gone during the day so just needed comfy beds and a yard for the dogs. It’s a nice neighborhood and easy to access. I’d recommend adding side tables in the bedrooms and lamps and a coffee table for the living room, but there are TV trays available. The two window AC units kept the house comfortable during the heat wave this weekend.

Clean and inviting

The house was so cute. It was clean and very comfortable. We were visiting the area for a memorial and needed a welcoming place to stay. This house was perfect. Property manager easy to deal with and I would recommend to anyone else. Neighborhood was quiet and nice. Great restaurants nearby. Easy to find.

Needs some work

The location of the home is great, however there is a lot of things that need to be changed for this to be a successful VRBO. The cleanliness of the home was very poor. There were sheets In the washer and dryer so we were unsure if the sheets on the beds were clean. There was also dishes left in the dishwasher and the dishes were old and mismatched. The linens, towels, and pillows were old and the bed was uncomfortable. There were no end tables in either of the bedroom to put your things on, no lamps, and no clock in the home. The front closet had a bunch of personal stuff shoved in it and it was cluttered and dirty in the laundry room.

Horrible experience

Property owner unfortunately became ill which caused them to be hospitalized which is unfortunate and understandable. Unfortunately this was not communicated until very late and we arrived at property without check in information late at night. An hour phone call with VRBO finally produced the check in procedure after 10 pm. House was not cleaned after the last stay and bedding was not changed including crumbs in sheets and dirty socks in room. One light in bedroom didn’t work and no coffee maker. We left after being extremely unsatisfied and are seeking full refund. How VRBO can call this a “Premier Host” is beyond comprehension. CAVEAT EMPTOR.
