"Great stay and the host communicated well. House was great and the boys loved jumping off the dock. The host left ice cream for the boys and made it feel like home. The only down fall which is out of the host control is the neighbors. We had a little cook out with the team one night at 5 and the neighbor counts the people coming into the house and wasn’t pleasant. Besides that this house is great! "

"The house is lovely, well decorated and great for a family - there is even a room decorated for children with a floor bed for littles. "Technicolor retreat was a great relaxing getaway. The home is lovely and the location on the river was so relaxing after a day in the Dunes or Chicago. It felt very secluded and private. We can’t wait to go back. We were able to take our golden retriever who loves all things woods and water. Wish we could have stayed longer! "

"My family joined me for a wonderful trip to Brightstone. We fell in love. Our hosts were phenomenal and so helpful. Any questions we had were answered quickly and they are very helpful. The house contained everything we needed. The photos of the listing are accurate but photos do not do justice to the setting. The beautiful lake is amazing. The hiking trails were fun for the grandkids and we saw wild turkeys and other critters. We are planning a return trip next summer and cannot wait...

"We chose this property because of it's location between Indianapolis and Chicago, as half our group was coming from each city. The house and outdoor area met every expectation for our weekend together. Michel was incredibly responsive and asked very little of us as guests. We rarely left the house, but when we did, downtown DeMotte had a great diner (Steve's Grill) and really nice grocery store. Very likely our group will try to make this our annual meet up location."

"The cabin was so nice. Comfy bed. Had all we needed. Plenty of places to go for a walk. The fishing was great. Host was super nice. Easy and quick to respond to my questions. We recommend this to anyone needing a place in the area and will return and so will other members of our family. Has a nice pavilion area with a grill so if you were considering a family get together it would be great to rent several of the cabins and spend time with each other. "

"It was a great stay. The few problems we had were taken care of promptly. Communication was responded to quickly. My only complaint would be that since the home is older, it has a septic tank and well water, which made the water smell like rotten eggs. The owner came and ran the water and most if the smell dissipated. The beds were very comfortable and had a lot of charging ports for phones. I would definitely stay there again."

"This one-bedroom attic apartment is cute and efficient. It was sufficient for my needs. Due to the age of the original home that houses four (4) residential units, it is a little loud in its mechanics, structure, and location. The people were friendly and helpful. It is closely located to the Crown Point Square which offers multiple shopping and gastro-pub options within the Historic Downtown area. The property manager was pleasant enough and prompt in his communications."
