"Bill was an excellent host, was very fast at replying to my questions! Check in was a snap. House is great, was very clean and well maintained. Hot tub was very clean, and we enjoyed soaking under the stars. The large yard was perfect for walking our dogs! It’s a great location, very close to Boone and Banner Elk. We enjoyed our stay very much."

"We absolutely enjoyed every minute that we spent at the cabin. It is right on the new river and right where you can rent tubes or kayaks which we did and utilized this access and had so much fun. "The booking and check in process was seamless, there was great communication between owner and us. The house was perfectly located and was very secluded which we loved. The inner decor was quaint and appropriate for this house. The beds were comfortable and the house was spacious. We loved the views and enjoyed grilling on the deck. We used the hot tub which was really nice after a long day of walking. I would highly recommend this unique round home."

"This was our second stay at the Secret Shack and we can’t say enough good things. Chris is an amazing host and everything was better than expected. Many upgrades since our last stay including new furniture, appliances, and a gas fireplace were fantastic. The view is amazing and so cool to wake up to in the master bedroom. Plenty of towels and the bed linens are super comfortable. The hot tub is a nice touch as many smaller properties lack this. We’d give more stars if we could and would love to...
