"We had such a great experience at the Grand Lodge. I've stayed here a few times before and the overall experience has been well worth it. The pool & hot tub are excellent, there's an on-site restaurant for breakfast, and the rooms are comfortable & have all the necessities. There's plenty of on-site parking. "We booked this hotel largely because of the pool and hot tub. When we checked in we were informed the heating element for both was out, so the hot tub wasn’t working and the pool was chilly, but at least open. Okay, we can work with that. However, when we went to swim, it was obvious the pool filter wasn’t working properly either. "We live this spot in CB. Great view of the mountain, limited dining variety, staff is kind and helpful. Location is not directly in town but still a great central point for whatever activities you’ve got going on."

"Very nice small unit on working ranch. Lots of very thoughtful touches from owners. Cute store on site. Incredible view of west elk mountains. Kitchen is well appointed for cooking with bbq and outside seating. Note that bedroom (bedroom is huge) is upstairs while bathroom is downstairs for those that need to use restroom during the night. North rim of Black Canyon is about 20 min drive. South rim is 90 min drive. We loved staying here."
