"This was a perfect, quiet, secluded retreat for our couple's anniversary weekend. If you want calm, quiet and seclusion, this is for you. The last 4-mile road is narrow, steep and difficult, so definitely heed instructions about having SUV or truck. Due to the mountainous terrain, steep drop-offs, lack of TV, spotty cell/WiFi service and possible encounters with wildlife (we had a timber rattlesnake on-property for a couple of days), I would not recommend this property for children under teen...

"We celebrated our 6th Wedding Anniversary and wanted a low key getaway. The Summit House did not disappoint. We were able to watch the sunset, sunrise and even a dense fog sunrise which was absolutely stunning. We even stargazed one night and saw a couple of shooting stars. We can't wait to plan our next trip and check out the other properties. Thank you for the beautiful memories."

"Nice well- kept property with a courteous and accommodating staff. Property was convenient to dining and interstate. A complete, hot breakfast with many options, juice and coffee included in the price and open six to nine thirty. Lots of highway infrastructure workers were our fellow guests but they were generally quiet and left early. I would recommend this place for a clean upscale but reasonably priced stay. Again very helpful staff."
