"The Saloon was so cool to stay in! The front porch was great to sit on and the back had a gorgeous view. It was not convenient to get food (or anything else for that matter) but this was made clear ahead of time so we went prepared. The road was flooded out when we got there but this was also a warning ahead of time and we had a truck so had no issues. We'd go back for sure. This was our favorite place to stay out of an 8 hotel trip."

"Great location. Very close to the western entrance to BIBE. I stayed at an electric campsite with no water. There’s a men’s and women’s bathroom with a single shower in each. However, you cannot flush the toilet or brush your teeth without adding a quarter to the shower? And if the quarter just returns, you get no water. Tried to explain to housekeeping but was a miscommunication. The diner is awesome with very friendly staff and great food! Will bring my own shower next time I stay. "

"The place was amazing, surrounded by mountains, very quiet and we got to see lots of stars and the Milky way. The little chalet we stayed was confortable and quaint. The road to acces the place was the only things I didn't like, probably because we had a flat tire, but two samaritans came to our rescue, Valente and Vladimir, very greatful, specially because of the heat. We were free to use a really nice kitchen, fully equipped, were we cooked the food we brought."

"The road is a tough drive, but the property is worth it. Nails the old west town feel and while there aren't a ton of amenities, the shared kitchen is one we will be back for next vacation with the kids and family. Has a summer camp vibe I loved but with air conditioned room, hot water, and a comfortable room. Not too far from Terlingua and big bend national park. Roads can be a bit white knuckle after dark, but that's everywhere in this part of Texas. For the price probably the best value...

"It’s a dark sky National Park, so there’s very little lights and we could not find the RV park but the owners directed us and sat out by the road with their vehicle lights on so we could find them! They went above and beyond!! Highly recommend. "
