"We first stayed in Nov 24. This time we stayed Apr 26. Previously we were in the Annex, but this time we were in the main building. The room was large and nicely decorated. I booked two rooms as our adult daughter came too. Both rooms were cold even though the heating was on, but its an old building, so probably difficult to heat. "Excellent experience from the moment we arrived at check in to checking out after two fabulous nights. The staff were fabulous, warm and friendly. They looked after us very well and our two dogs too! Breakfast was fresh, tasty and just what was needed before ascending Pendle Hill! We will definitely be back. "Absolutely perfect stay cute little place, came as a surprise stay for boyf birthday. Probably booked somewhere else until I saw here an the other place wouldn’t decorate and the owner said I could here so booked to stay here instead it was lovely, cosy we arrived quite late so will have to come back and stay from the check in time to enjoy the views and relaxing vibe. Definitely will come back 5* an he loved the treat Thank you.
Also it doesn’t have a tv and I know people choose these places...

"Stayed at the Black Dog Inn in Bolton for two nights. The room itself was comfortable enough for the price, so no major complaints there. However, the overall experience was disappointing.
The first night was a write-off in terms of sleep. Staff gave a late booking to a couple who had been drinking in the pub, and they stayed up most of the night with the TV on at a very high volume.
