"If you want a place that offers solitude, heavenly peace and great relaxation in harmony with nature, don't look any further. This is the ultimate place to relax, meditate and enjoy nature at its best. There are some wonderful walks nearby, however a word of caution, don't try to drive unless you have an AWD or 4WD as the roads are gravelly and full of ruts."

"We stayed at the Retreat for a family wedding , we had 5 adults and still had room for more. The rumpus room with pool table and table tennis table was a huge bonus and we were the envy of others that stayed there. The house was great and we did not need anything else to make our stay better, we were warned to bring everything with us. All the wildlife around was wonderful as well, reminded us that we live in Australia. It was a shame that we could not fully go on the long bush walks on...

"This house has everything a large or small family needs. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. They even have toys our kids were very entertained. The games room is another plus, we will definitely be planning to stay again."

"Great location for family wedding, only 5 min drive to Tocal homestead. Lovely grounds to walk around, very serene. Lovely pergola to sit in and watch the birds and ducks on the dam, walk across bridge to see bulls in paddock "

What looked like a dam in the photos turned out to be a pool in a water course and was the perfect spot to be. Once the sun got low it felt private enough for us be comfortable and feel alone out there which was exactly what we wanted. "Beautiful property in a beautiful location.Plenty of firewood to warm us inside and outside by the generous firepit. Well stocked kitchen with everything needed to cook for all 8 adults.We enjoyed our stay tremendously"

"Alan and Eva were so lovely and kind during the stay. They were very accommodating and helpful! My friend and I had an amazing time staying here, watching the sunsets and sitting by the campfire. Lovely place to unwind and have a weekend off in nature. We got to see the cows and the lovely views around the farm. The cosy off-grid cabin felt like a home away from home. "The property is in a central location in the town of Dungog. Next to a supermarket which is handy. I did not realise the bathroom was outside of our accommodation and that there was no running water/sink in our room. It was also very musty and airless. There were no flyscreens to open windows without mosquitos and insects coming in. It was tricky to understand where to enter the property, however the owner helped with this.
