Loftsome bridge although off a main road for convenience is lovely and quite due to it being a good distant back from it, so you get the best of both worlds a good nights sleep and connectivity to all the local attractions with York not being too far away. Staff very friendly. Bit strange going in and out at back of the building, but happy to recommend as somewhere central to stay."

"Chech-in at the bar was simple and the room was spotlessly clean and tidy. The location was very good as it is a short distance to the city centre, hence quick to get around on foot. The on-site food and drink menu were fairly good and well worth a try. I can highly recommend the accommodation."

"The setting is beautiful and the staff amazing. We took our 2 Spaniels with us and stayed in a dog friendly suite. Room was huge and surprisingly warm considering it was a converted Castle. Breakfast in the morning was decent and you are within 25 mins of York. All in all a great trip and we will 100% stay here again. "
