💡 Did you know?
Rue Daniel Hirtz, where our apartment is located, is named after an Alsatian writer born in Strasbourg on February 2, 1804, and who died on April 20, 1893. Georges Daniel Hirtz was a master turner and editor of the famous almanac "Der hinkende Bote am Rhein" between 1849 and 1891, a very popular publication in Alsace that mixed practical information, stories, and local anecdotes.
The building itself has an interesting history: designed by architect David Falk, its construction was authorized on August 27, 1902, and completed on July 14, 1903. The facade, although different from the initial project, preserves beautiful sculpted motifs evoking Antiquity and Art Nouveau, as well as ceramic friezes with colors reminiscent of Minoan frescoes.
Comfort: central heating, bed linen and towels provided
Important information: As the apartment is semi-basement, it has limited natural light. This feature makes it a cool place in summer and cozy in winter, but people who prefer very bright spaces should take this into account.
