"Claire was very welcoming. The room was spacious and clean with a view of the beautiful garden. She did a typical English breakfast which was delicious with fresh fruit and other goodies. I would recommend."

Previously I've had water in the room but not this time. Didn't look like the tea, coffee, etc. had been topped up"

Our room felt a little dated and in need of maintenance in places, especially in the bathroom, but it served its purpose for our stay and we would be happy to go again."

But I then found that it coincided with football being shown on a large screen TV just yards away in the courtyard from my window, and that my room was next door to a gents toilet open to the visitors (ie public). "The property overall was disgustingly dirty !! It needs to be completely gutted and renovated. Nail/toe nail clippings on the sofa bed. All the material on the sofa cushions was tourn and ripped. The pull out mattress also had rips in it. Carpet was thick with animal hair , bed had long clumps of human hair on. Kettle was rusty inside. Spiders everywhere, stained bath and toilet seat. Furniture in the room was falling apart. The horrific smell of animals started at reception and carried on...

"Didn’t end up staying. Could not find the entrance easily, no parking. Called multiple times over a period of an hour to get assistance - no answer . Finally gave up and stayed elsewhere."

"Budget hotel made excellent by super helpful owners/staff. Very kind and helpful people who were happy to help me with hair dryer, cell phone charger for out of country Travellers. No elevator but they carried my suitcase to the room for me. Very nice people made my stay lovely. Decent breakfast and they accommodated my vegetarian diet."

"Great historic building with kind caring staff. The building is a transitional construction state so some areas a little run down or musky smelling. Room was comfortable and well appointed. Overall we had a great stay"
