"Everything was as usual really lovely. Unfortunately that Sunday happened to be the coldest and when l arrived the room was freezing cold. Staff tried their best to rectify the situation but to no avail. After an hour or more Lady Den brought me an extra quilt so l can use. The lady was a God sent she managed to get the temperature to at least 17 and it made a real difference. Overall l ended up with a good night in a warm place. Staff are so helpful at The Hamilton Arms."

"We stayed here for one night after a day in Winchester. A nice enough hotel, with staff pleasant enough. The room we stayed in was small but well kept. The main issue we had was that the room was that next to a staff run through, meaning doors were slammed constantly. Further, there was no air conditioning, and the room we were in at the bottom floor was next to a busy beer table and had lots and lots of mosquitoes, meaning we were bitten to heck! "We went for a weekend with our cavapoo. TBH had little treat box, dog towel and little sleeping mat. We brought many of our own things but nice to make him feel welcomed. We had a great stay. "We had a lovely weekend at Arden House. Lucie organised everything with so much attention to detail and care that being there felt like a cosy home. We even received a welcome card and chocolate Easter eggs every time the room was cleaned. The location was also great, just a five-minute walk from the castle. The rooms were spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend staying there!"

"What a gem of a find!! Absolutely fabulous place to stay. Comfortable bed in a stunning room, complimentary products from hand wash to gin were of excellent quality. Breakfast was full English for us was superb. The Bel and Dragon is definitely top of our list for places to stay. "

"Checking in was not so easy, had to ring the bell multiple times and eventually almost go behind the counter to flag someone down. The water pressure was so unusually high that the shower head literally flew off its holster at one point and sprayed the hold bathroom with water before I got it back under control! Was slightly funny. The mattress was knackered and urgently needs replacing. Gross."

The room was clean and the sports bar was ok - spacious and quick service with pool tables and tvs to watch sport. Driving range and tennis courts were fun and there are outdoor spaces to sit and relax"
