Newby Bridge Hotel
This hotel was a great find; right at the south of Windermere. Great food, lovely staff and very dog friendly. The room was a good size, very clean, good shower.

Lakes Hotel and Spa
Great hotel in the heart of Windermere, short walk to lake where boats go on the trips and close to shops. Slight hill getting back up to hotel. Lovely cocktail bar, pub and eating areas. Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa
Underwhelming. This is a very ordinary hotel, despite the hot tubs, pool and spa. The decor is vile, all dull browns with turquoise. In the “Troutbeck” room there is a nasty trip hazard into the bathroom. A stubbed toe was annoying but a cracked skull would have been more so. Tip: if it’s not fixed ...

Thurnham Hall Resort
Lugar tranquilo, aconchegante, espaçoso. Quartos amplos, cozinha equipada e custo benefício excelente. Tudo estava limpo, as camas confortáveis.

Hapimag Burnside Park Apartments
The room and staff were fine but we had no hot water for about 16 hours and had to use another apartment to shower which was not great.
