Being half a Luddite the app for phone and figuring out how to turn the lights off and on involved me needing assistance. Not only did the staff help me, they didn’t even laugh at me or call me a “Boomer”. Great customer service! Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about Docent’s Choice. Everything was perfect! "

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. It is our second time. The location is fantastic, making it easy to get anywhere we needed. One block from the waterfront. Very walkable. Our unit came with a fully stocked kitchen, complete with a multi cooking option stove. Beautiful place settings, and every tool you could possibly need to prepare a full meal. "The Blind Tiger was one of the best accommodations I've ever stayed in! The location was perfect – far enough away from the "bustle" of downtown but close enough to walk to many spots (Smalls was a favorite!). The daily breakfast was so great and the room, my goodness! Adorable, perfect, comfortable... best sleep of my life! Maggie was so helpful and accommodating and made our stay really special. All in all, highly recommend!"

"Excellent breakfast option for eggs or tasty fresh yogurt. One day out of four they strangely neglected to clean the room, even with a door sign requesting service, but the night front desk person took it upon herself to do so when we noted the problem after returning around dinner time. She’s a gem. Showers were excellent. Rooms were reasonably sized too. Request a third floor if you don’t like the sound of people above your room walking around as the hardwood floors amplify this. "The staff were amazing, the room was amazing (the bathroom, the shower, the bed, the blackout curtains, the fancy robe, and the interior design were all superb), and the restaurant was fantastic! Unfortunately, I'm really sensitive to sound, and because the building is older, I could definitely hear small sounds in the plumbing, refrigeration, and/or ventilation that made it hard to sleep well. Additionally, the remote was a bit sluggish with the TV, and the previous guests' Netflix access...

"The lobby was under renovation so it was a bit of a mess. Parking very easy but expensive at 45 dollars a night given the cost of the room oer night. The biggest surprise was no housekeeping during the day to replace towels etc. We were told not housekeeping on weekends and we just needed to ask for more towels. Overall, good location."
