"This hotel is in a very old Tudor style building with heaps of charm and quirkiness. This is a popular and busy pub/restaurant/hotel. Our room was on the top floor with access by stairs with high risers. The double bedroom was small with only one bedside table and no cupboards and only one stool so it is best suited to a one night stay. The room was clean and tidy with again the charm of an uneven floor which is not a problem just be aware. As the room is close to the roof it can get very warm...

"Wonderful stay. The setting is very peaceful and calm, after a 2 night stay we felt utterly replenished. The beds and pillows were large and comfortable. Robes and slippers were provided. The staff were friendly, approachable and professional. The spa is truly a gem here. Clean , was never crowded and relaxing. We never had any treatments but didn't feel like we missed out on anything. Loved sitting outside the spa and eating after a relaxing spa session. Special mention to Victoria at the spa...

"Selected Wheatsheaf based on location travelling from Scotland to South Coast. We're told at reception that the room was up 2 flight of stairs but it would be worth it, Walking into room 12 our breath was taken away, it was definitely worth the climb. Dinner that evening and breakfast next morning we're excellent. Will definitely be back. Jim and Lorna"
