"The actual property is great, located down a quiet laneway. Unfortunately, we came when it was around 30 degrees C. Sleeping upstairs only exacerbated the issue. We stayed 3 nights, unfortunately again there was a party not far away with amplified band and singer (not very good) on our last night which droned on till midnight. The property is very good, although I’m 193 cm and had to constantly duck my head when going into the kitchen/meals area. Well presented, well stocked."

"I came back and am booked to come back again! Feel really welcome: my dog was immediately drawn in by Bella, the new addition to the Griffin household. It's the atmosphere here, the good quality food, the Battle of Britain ale, good dog-walking nearby, then team running the place, their location in the middle of Norfolk - great breakfast (thanks Charlotte), cooked to order. Rather than list superlatives, I should just recommend that you go and try them out - very good value for money, dog...

"Great location in wells, ample parking outside the pub. Excellent and helpful staff. Clean and cool room (great air conditioning in this weather).. There was a pub quiz in the evening, great food, and the breakfast was wholesome and hearty’ The only issue was the smell from the bathroom (likely the sewage)."

"We went to fakenham races and then spent 2 days at Walsingham. Nice warm room where we could watch the passing interesting people. The food was not amazing but edible."

"The property was very dated, with a need of a deep clean and decor update. Carpets were stained and our particular room had a unpleasent smell. Overall the property has seen better days, I guess this is reflected in a lower than average room price for the area. Staff however were very friendly and although we did not eat a main meal, the portions looked generous and other guests appeared content.
