"The house itself was beautiful, and the location on the lake was picturesque. There were undoubtedly several aspects that needed improvement before I could recommend this rental to anyone else. First of all, an error in the provided directions to the property caused us to travel about two hours in the wrong direction before we realized the mistake. A few key things were missing that would have improved our stay, including pillowcases on one of the beds, a coffee maker, baking trays, wine opener,...

"Loved the house, the area and the lake. House is as described, lake is lovely, tons of things to do just at the house and almost hard to leave and explore the area! Our families threw a dart at the map this year for our vacation and we ended up with one of the best trips we’ve had in a long time. Indian and Mountain View Lakes are hidden gems in the Adirondacks and the house is full of history and tradition. Thanks to the owners for sharing this house! "

It was quiet when we needed quiet and close to everything we wanted to do. "The house is charmingly decorated in cabin style and appears to have been recently updated. Many of the appliances seemed new and they all worked well. Furnishings were comfortable, and the laundry and kitchen were all well supplied with the items we needed. Being able to use the kayaks to explore the Narrows was really special! The hosts were helpful and responded to our few questions promptly. This is a beautiful area, and a really comfortable base to explore it from. "

"This was a lovely, comfortable place to stay. The hostess was very accommodating for our needs. The place was very comfortable and everything seemed new, in good shape, very clean. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed. We enjoyed eating on the deck. We really liked going down to the private dock with our breakfast in the morning to watch for the loons. There was a wonderful 180 degree view of Rainbow Lake. It was good having the air conditioning in the bedroom."
