Quiet getaway

The owners are very attentive to our needs and all around we're great!! It was wonderful, peaceful, and beautiful location! It's great for a quiet getaway or with family! There's plenty of room for the whole family!! The master bedroom suite is huge and was beautifully decorated!! Watching the wild life is awesome! We tried fishing and weren't very successful, however we watched the neighbors catch a largemouth and smallmouth bass, perch,and lots sunfish and turtles!! Great local restaurants! While on one of our walks we met friendly neighbors and a large dog named moose! What a gentle giant! Thanks for having us! Can't wait to go back!

Amazing stay

The property is exactly as it’s listed! It was beautiful and so relaxing! The host responded to any communication within minutes of a message and even promptly responded after check out when I left a belonging and had to go back for it! I absolutely recommend staying here!

Family Fourth of July

We enjoyed a pleasant 4th of July at the house. Plenty of room for the 6 of us. (Grandma, Mom&Dad and 3 college age kids) The kids tried out the local golf courses. Weather was stormy, so we were able to enjoy the porch overlooking the canal. Caught quite a few bass in the backyard. Nice firepit to spend the evening by. There is not a hot tub, for those that read the listing as I did. Not a big deal to us, but just an FYI if it is to someone. Would rent again.

Overall fine

In general, the place was clean and the space was very nice. Having access to the garage was great! We were there for fish camp and we were able to fit both boats and trucks on the property, and still have plenty of space for our freezer, crawler fridge and fish cleaning area (they provided one but we chose to just do it outside on our own table) We caught lots of fish both on the big lake and in the canal! That said, however, we like to cook and eat in and the kitchen had several issues. The sinks would not drain for hours, so doing dishes properly was nearly impossible. The freezer leaked water into the fridge, so we had to be careful where we put things in the fridge. We also bought a plastic tablecloth for the table because the paint used on the top was really “sticky”. The water situation is clearly a challenge and they are eventually getting hooked up to city water, so it’s not the hosts’ fault, but right now it does emit a very strong sulfur odor, especially upstairs. The hosts also provide a water dispenser, which was great.

Great family time!

We had a great time staying here! We have been to many places and this one has been the only one that supplied everything you could need. Kids had a blast fishing all day. Great friendly neighborhood. If you’re looking for a place to make great family memories, this is the place! We did have a major bug hatching going on during our stay. Didn’t really affect us as the bugs didn’t bite. Also, can’t really predict Mother Nature. As far as everything else goes, beds were cozy. Cabin was clean. Hosts made it very easy as we didn’t have to run out for things we may have forgotten.
