"It was the best to wake up to all the deer and turkeys in the yard. Also there was a really pretty little hiking trail right across the street. It was such a quiet and amazing little spot "

"I first stayed at the Ginger bread house in the 80ies not long after it became a B&B. It is just as wonderful now as it was then. From tea time to the stroll in the garden is was a magical stay. The one draw back was booking through VRBO. I was not able to contact the hostess directly and wasn't sure how to check in. It is best to make reservations by directly calling them. "We rented the house for a weekend for a high school track meet. It was great to have the space for 4 adults and 4 teens. We especially appreciated the large kitchen and dining room as we prepared all of our meals at the house. The location was ideal in downtown Fortuna, close to Fortuna High School. The house was well-stocked and clean. Would definitely stay again. I would note that 2 of the beds appear to be double beds instead of Queen-sized."
