Serenity Sands is a renovated two bedroom/two bath condo, new stainless steel appliances, new bathroom vanities and showers, new Beauty Rest mattresses. It offers amazing views and stunning sunsets and is one of the closest condos to the beach! Cowpet Bay has a nice sandy beach, plenty of palm trees for shade if desired, and many chairs for your lounging. There is also an expansive pool with a waterfall grotto and a large jacuzzi. Grab a cold drink and relax the day away!

Cowpet East condos have two levels, this condo is on the first level.

Enjoy either of the convenient restaurants on property, including Sangria's Beachside Bistro, which is NOW OPEN daily 7 am - 6 pm (except Sundays) and 6 pm - 8 pm for pizzas only. The newly renovated beach/pool bar has finally reopened to serve you refreshing cold beverages throughout the day 11 am - 5 pm! Then there's the highly recommended, finer dining restaurant the resort has to offer, Caribbean Fish Market (aka "CFM" per the locals!), known for its mouth watering seafood dishes, open for dinner nightly, as well as for Sunday brunch with bottomless Mimosas or Bloody Mary's!

If you choose to the leave the resort, you are only minutes away from the conveniences of Red Hook... shopping, grocery, bars, restaurants, ferry/barge to St. John, postal service, and medical center.

Island Dream Vacations can assist in planning other aspects of your vacations, from recommending car rentals, to coordinating grocery delivery to conveniently stock your fridge prior to your arrival, as well as arrange for boating/fishing excursions, snorkel kayak tours, private chef services, private massage therapist, dinner reservations, and housekeeping services.

PLEASE NOTE: The nightly rate listed is based on 4 guests, additional guests are $35/night per guest ($50/night during holidays), maximum of 6 guests (4 adults max). Last minute and extended stay discounts offered except on Holiday weeks.

CANCEL POLICY: If you cancel the reservation by written notice at any time prior to the date that is sixty (60)** days prior to commencement of the rental period, we will refund all monies paid thus far.

This condo is stocked with all the amenities you'll need for a wonderful week in paradise! The location in Red Hook is great - you're just around the corner from plenty of restaurants and bars. The pool is beautiful, although smaller than the photos appear, but we never found it crowded. The restaurants on property are DELICIOUS...especially the Caribbean Fish Market! Wonderful atmosphere and menu at both places. Cowpet Bay is not crowded like many of the other beaches.The condo was pretty much as presented in the pictures and description although we were disappointed with the balcony view. The trees below the balcony have grown wild, obstructing the view making it non-existent. The bathrooms are VERY SMALL and hot! We had issues with the air conditioning not cooling the condo - and the weather wasn't even that hot. And, the king bed frame was broken and the mattress was very uncomfortable.Be prepared for short blackouts periodically. We experienced one or two of them every day, but none of them lasted for more than a few minutes. If you have Verizon as your cell phone carrier - be prepared for no service! Even though St. Thomas is technically in the United States - the Travel Pass will NOT work. We only had service when we were in the condo through the Wifi - which also was sporadic throughout the week. I would suggest renting a Jeep from Amalie Car Rentals. Pick up and drop off are seamless!! Overall, we had a wonderful vacation!

Place was great. It was clean and we were so close to the beach. The beds were comfortable as was the living room furniture. There were turtles under the deck that we enjoyed watching roam around. We have stayed at Cowpet many times and it’s a nice location.

Host communication was great, property is beautiful, condo was just as described and had everything we could need. Super easy drive to Red Hook. We rented a car and we could get anywhere in the island in a short amount of time.

Beth and Amy (property managers) were friendly and helpful. Beth called after I texted a question regarding a recommendation for dinner and she gave us lots of great suggestions all over the island. Location was beautiful and the condo was clean. Loved the spaciousness and washer/dryers. Highly recommend staying here! (Would suggest a full length mirror be added)

We had a great stay here at Serenity Sands. Very clean, very well stocked, quaint property with a great beach front restaurant. The owner/staff was very attentive and quick to answer questions and respond. We would definitely stay here again!

Incredible place

This condo was everything it was described to be. Check in was so easy, communication was easy, and the walk down the steps to the beach was even easier. It was more equipped than I could have hoped! The beach is beautiful and quiet.

Family getaway

The condo was perfect for our family of 5! Great location on the island, beautiful views from the balcony, just steps from the beach and pool access. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to make our own meals when we didn’t feel like eating out. the Beach chairs and sand toys provided was a great bonus too. This is a great place to stay if traveling with the whole family.

Great stay

This well equipped condo has everything you can think of in a great location overlooking the beach and bay. with two bedrooms, a patio and a living area there was ample space to spread out with my three teenagers. It is very convenient to the east side of the island, Red Hook, and the ferry to St. John’s. The beach, pool, poolside bar, and grille were a great places to hang out.

Amazing Stay

The condo is exactly as pictured and is one of the best stocked ones I have ever stayed in. The kitchen had everything you needed including enough paper towels, laundry detergent and trash bags. There was an entire chest of beach toys. And oh the toilet paper!!! Amy was immediately available to answer all of my questions. Having 2 restaurants within walking distance was super convenient as was having groceries delivered before we arrived which Amy helped us with. The pool area and bar were perfect. We spent a lot of time there floating considering the extreme heat advisory while we were there. WiFi in the condo was reliable. We had some power outages that lasted 5 minutes or less so no issue for us and they have battery backup for the router and some of the lights. We did not have a car but once we figured out how to manage the taxi system ( after a slightly stressful situation in Charlotte Amalie) it was no problem. Basically call Carol at Smiley (again Amy helped with this) and she'll send you a taxi. If you like the driver get his cell phone number and pre-arrange your trips by letting him know what you need. Fabian was trustworthy and reliable. When we return we will probably consider renting a car but the roads are super treacherous. They aren't lying when they say you cannot walk anywhere. We didn't have enough time to do everything but very much enjoyed the Sea Trek at Coral World, kayaking as VI Eco tours and hiking to Honeymoon Beach (Caneel Bay) on St. John.

Peaceful Paradise

We had a really nice stay. Everything we could need for our trips to the beach was provided. the only drawbacks for us were the number of stairs we had to traverse daily (three of us have had knee replacements and found the number of stairs a little daunting but we managed) and the "isolation" of the property. There wasn't really a way to walk onto or off the property to say Redhook safely. This drawback has nothing to do with the property, however. We just used Smiley's taxi service alot! We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay! We could see ourselves here again....

Exceeded Expectations

The property was clean and very well stocked. We literally had everything we needed right there. The beach wasn’t ever crowded and our teens loved the nearby pool. The restaurant and bar next door had AMAZING food and super friendly staff. Amy was always super helpful and responsive. I worked for a vacation rental company for many years and I can honestly say — this was a great experience.

Very Nice Condo

Overall it was a very nice condo with two King sized beds that were very comfortable, chairs to bring to the beach, and a nice cooler. The only thing we were disappointed in was the view - there's a large tree blocking pretty much the entire view and it looks nothing like the pictures in the VRBO ad.

Balcony View and Ground Floor

The view in the listing shows a nice view of the beach from the table on the balcony. In reality, you are looking into the top of a tree that obstructs your view. The listing indicates you are on the ground floor giving you the impression that you have direct access to the beach. In reality, you are fifteen feet above the grade and there is no access.

Fantastic Holiday Vacation

We just returned from staying at Serenity Sands for a week from Christmas to New Year's Day. Two adults and two teens. We had an amazing trip. This unit is exceptionally well stocked and nicely renovated. Plenty of room for everyone. It is clean and well maintained. We had everything we needed for an enjoyable week. Amy (property manager) was incredibly responsive and helpful. She went above and beyond to communicate and provide helpful recommendations for grocery delivery service, excursions, etc. The location is perfect. I appreciated the level of thoughtfulness and attention to detail. It was a wonderful vacation - hope to return again soon.

Summer Vacation 2022

We loved our condo and the surrounding property. The view from the balcony was wonderful. Lots of room for our family of 4. The A/C and fans cooled the condo. We had quick access to the beach, pool, beach bar and 2 restaurants on site. I would recommend to anyone traveling to St. Thomas.

Comfortable, clean condo in an idyllic setting

My family of five (2 adults, 3 kids ages 13, 12, 7) just returned from a week stay in this wonderful condo. We feel so lucky to have found this place and we are already talking about a return trip! The condo was nicely decorated in a beachy theme. The beds and furniture were comfortable. Loved the large balcony with table and chairs and two chaise loungers. The condo was clean and looked exactly as the pictures on VRBO. The location of the condo was great- on relaxed, quiet Cowpet Bay. The kids loved the large pool that was open until 10 pm daily. The beach was a nice size and pretty; we found other beaches that had more clear water and better snorkeling, but at a higher price tag. There are two restaurants on the property- Caribbean Fish Market (expensive, but delicious, dinner option- make a reservation online) and Sangria's (fun, beachside casual restaurant- delicious food for breakfast, lunch and dinner pizza and friendly staff). The location is a short taxi ride to the ferry terminal in Red Hook ($5pp each way) and we traveled to St. John three times. Highly recommend doing this- Trunk Bay is the most beautiful beach I have ever seen and we saw many sea turtles while snorkeling at Maho Bay. I recommended picking up sandwiches in the deli at Moe's Grocery Store located across the street from the ferry terminal in Red Hook, makes a great picnic lunch on the beach! We chose not to rent a car. The taxi fare adds up to about the cost of renting a car for the week, but without the hassle of navigating the tough terrain (especially on St. John). We never had trouble getting a taxi in a timely manner. Another tip if you're not renting a car- we ordered groceries ahead of time to be delivered to the condo before we arrived. It was so nice to arrive with a stocked fridge and beer already cold! The property manager is super helpful in coordinating the grocery delivery and anything else you want to plan during your trip. She responded quickly to all my inquiries before and during our stay. Hope my long review gives you a few traveling tips and the confidence to book this beautiful condo! Happy travels!

Great location, not crowded but plenty of amenities

The condo was comfortable and well-stocked. Instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the communication with the rental company prior to our trip was excellent. The condo was well-situated on the property - literally steps from the beach, snorkeling, restaurants, the pool, and water sport opportunities. We traveled much of the island during our stay, but always agreed our "home-base" was the best place we couldve rented, and were eager to return to the quiet beach and comfortable atmosphere.

Celebrate in Paradise

My husband and I along with his brother and wife stayed here. We were celebrating both Men’s retirement. Check in was easy. Amy was very helpful and graciously answered our questions and made good recommendations. The location was better than I anticipated from looking on the map. A very short cab ride to the ferry terminal to St Johns, a pretty beach seen from the balcony and also a great swimming pool and restaurant super close. I thought they would be a longer walk. It was nice getting groceries delivered as well as opening the refrigerator and seeing condiments etc that previous people had left for our use. Great trip- I would come back and I strongly recommend!
