There's No Better Place On The Gulf!

Sandy Shores 204 is a Newly Renovated one bedroom/one bathroom gulf front condo located in Sandy Shores on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico in Madeira Beach, Florida. This condo has a large dining and living room area that opens out to the private balcony where the view of the beach and gulf is spectacular. A large flat screen TV is in the living room along with free internet and WiFi.

The kitchen is equipped with updated appliances and cabinets filled with dishes, cookware and utensils. Bed linens and bath towels are provided for up to 4 guests in the condo.

Coin operated laundry is available on each floor.

As a John's Pass Condo's guest you will have access to our office services such as printing boarding passes, sending and receiving faxes. We also have on site maintenance to handle repairs in your condo if necessary. Come and enjoy the beautiful beach and the attractions which include John's Pass Village and Boardwalk with its many shops, cafe, restaurants, fishing charters directly across the street from our condos, via a protected crosswalk. This is a non smoking accommodation.

There is one assigned parking spot available for this unit.

The host never once responded to the multiple messages we sent regarding the broken toilet. We ended up calling maintenance twice but finally gave up when they never did follow through with fixing the issue. Our only option the entire stay was to remove the back of the toilet lid and reach in to physically remove the plug as the chain was completely broken. The water in the shower was warm at best, and the unit itself was rough and needed much maintenance. The only good thing about the unit was the ocean view. The awful customer service was very disappointing.

No chain/broken chain. Had to manually lift the res plug for it to flush.
Deferred maintenance in the kitchen. The drawers and doors were very unstable and dirty.

Excellent unobstructed beach view. Needs newer Cookware as the pots n pans are old and beat up. Otherwise everything needed for kitchen was very good. Floor needs to be mopped clean not just swept or vacuumed. Very dirty. Bathroom very clean. Would like better and more towels. Overall great place to stay!

The condo view made all other grips less important and made us focus on the beautiful location and view! We checked in last minute and figured that may have been some of the issue with communication but we sent 3 messages and not one was responded to. We didn’t receive any condo information until I called an hour before check in because we still hadn’t heard anything. The man that answered responded as if we were an annoyance. I tried to explain that we just wanted confirmation on reservation but he was more concerned that we were trying to check in early and that was not the case. The weekend was noisy so we were excited when Monday proved fewer people but the pool was closed all day! Tuesday was our power outage and our last day was filled with construction/renovation noise. During our power outage many guests congregated in the hallway. That is when I realized that other folks had a welcome book. We did not. One of the neighbors called the emergency number and handed me her phone since we lost power. So, despite the bad luck and issues, we loved the view and made the best of our last minute vacation! I would like to add that the emergency number women were fantastic especially Sara that put us at ease and explained the generator sound and smell. Other things to note: The hot/cold faucets in the bathroom are on backwards. And the refrigerator and freezer could use a good scrub!

No sheets

When get in and had no sheets for the pullout couch or murphy bed. We told them at 530. We didnt get the sheets till the next day. So my friend slept on a stained bed with no sheets. They set one set of sheets outside the door the next day. We had 3 people staying there and had 2 operable beds.

Beautiful condo in a beautiful location. Communication was easy person who answered the phone was very friendly and check in process very easy. While the condo was beautiful, we had no sheets for a murphy bed and no extra pillows with pillow cases. Dishes were left wet sitting in water in the cabinet, looked like they had butter on them. The floor made our feet black within an hour, not enough towels left for showering. However, this property is beautiful and it is in a great location and it was quiet and family friendly. Property was also up to date and beautiful inside.

Overall property was nice. The condo itself was sufficient but had many issues. The AC was not working when we arrived and had to be repaired. In addition the only toilet was broken and would not fill with water to flush. Had to use cup to add water.

Great location, condition needs work

Loved the close proximity to the shore and sound of the waves, plus the shops and restaurants just a short walk away. But, for the price of this condo I would expect decent towels (they were all Motel 6 quality, at best), a door keypad that consistently works, a toilet that always flushes, and basic kitchen supplies like a potholder and towel. The pots and pans are cheap and show the wear. Also, the owner didn't even know that there is a Keurig in addition to the drip coffee maker. Not all of the lamps worked, or maybe we just didn't access the correct light switches (of which there are many). There was no info provided about where to park, and we arrived in the dark so it was confusing. I did appreciate the late check-out that the on-site staff approved. With some changes and upgrades, plus better communication upfront, this could be a top-notch place to stay.

This property was in a great location and the balcony view was breathtaking with a great view of morning dolphins and beautiful sunsets. The condo could have been so much more with a bit of TLC and better communication. Most VRBOs I have stayed in have information in the units about the property and surrounding areas WIFI and TV instructions. This unit left me to my own devices and research There is a great trolly with a stop right out front you can access through an app. It would have been nice to have information ahead so I could use it regularly. The bathroom mirror and shower glass had not been cleaned and lighting in the bedroom was minimal and great sink and mirror in the bedroom with no lighting was disappointing. There is a sleeper sofa in the LR but it took two days and several requests to get sheets for a friend who joins me for a couple days. A Parking pass was available but no instructions on where to park. Unit 204 is very hard to see on the pavement and someone kept parking in this spot. I notified management but never heard back so I parked in a different spot. If you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs. You can hear the AC kick on and off often and the pluming upstairs is very loudLastly the chairs on the balcony are broke so take a pillow to sit on or you might fall through. I have never written a negative review before and this unit has so much potential. It was disappointing the listing and price did not live up to the VRBOs I am use to staying in.

Great location

Right on the beach with a large beach area to enjoy a day in the sun. Located right across from John’s pass, so walking distance from food, beer, souvenirs, and water activities. I had a nice relaxing long weekend and didn’t have to get my car for anything.

The condo was nice and a good size for two people. The cleaning people/ company could have done a better job. I did some cleaning to make it feel like home. Due to this, I was refunded the cleaning fee.

Quick week trip to Maderia Beach

Love the location being across the street from Johns Pass. Really like watching the boats come thru the bridge and in and out of the ocean. the condo is up to date and nicely decorated. easy in and out process. Sandy Shores facility in good shape and pool was very good.

Beautiful condo facing the ocean! We had a wonderful stay. the heated pool and bathroom by pool & beach was a plus. Condo was quiet and comfortable. The kitchen could use some more coffee cups, wine glasses. The kitchen towels and bathroom towels were sparse but we made do by using the washing machine right outside our door which was convenient. The VFW across the street has a change machine! We would definitely return. Overall perfect spot, lovely stay.
