Playwright’s Paradise

We so enjoyed staying here during the opening weekend of the Gulfport Community Players’ Summer One-Acts competition. The beachfront location is spectacular! We spent our mornings on the beach, in the pool and hot tub, and on the large shaded balcony (which was also a great spot for sunsets)! The unit was clean and the kitchen well-equipped. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect beach location

The location was awesome, right on the beach. Several places within walking distance. Unit was very clean and everything we needed. Only compliant was the mattress in the bedroom needs replacing. It is not very comfortable. Other than that, would highly recommend this condo for your beach stay. We loved every minute of it!

Simply Wonderful !

Our family had a wonderful time here. Location is great. Lot of places nearby - gas station, grocery, star bucks etc. Property was clean and all the necessary things were provided for cooking, washing and cleaning. Above all the view from gallery is absolutely stunning. It can accommodate a family of 4 easily. The sofa bed was the only thing I didn’t like much else everything was good. I will surely book the property again.

Gulf Strand great location

Perfect location directly on St Pete Beach with a nice balcony. Patio doors need replacing (salt water eats them up unfortunately).

Great beach front location.

Great location, great staff. Listing was accurate. Perfect for a couple looking for a beach getaway. Rooms x01 (south) and x02 (north) are beachfront units with large private decks. We stayed in 301 in February, which was perfect for enjoying the sun in the afternoon.

Great vacation

Nice condo. Very clean and smelled great when we got there. Great view. Easy check in. Pool equipment is below the deck and it is rather loud and drowns out the sound of the ocean.

Best location on St. Pete's Beach

If you are looking to stay in the best spot on St. Petersburg Beach, this is it! It is right in the middle so long walks either way (3-4 miles round trip) are doable. Quiet spot except for the occasional late night volleyball games next door. The unit was very clean and the direct waterfront private balcony was massive. We didn't use the 2nd balcony that overlooked the parking lot. The unit was not perfect (key kept sticking and doors were hard to open and shut) but it was efficient and nobody bothered us the whole time. There were several restaurants within walking distance although we kept going to Bongo Beach Bar for its good service, food and live music. Overall, it was one of the best and most relaxing short vacations my husband and I have had....made the 4th and final college drop off that much easier. We previously stayed right in Tampa or on Anna Maria Island. We will definitely be back to the Gulf Strands Resort....we just wish they had more than one bedroom units.

Nice, comfy condo with excellent views from large balcony

First, I need to compliment Betty, the on-site property manager. She was wonderful, very friendly and helpful! The condo had everything we needed to start our stay. Boy or bring your own laundry detergent & dishwasher pods. Kitchen was well-equipped. The huge balcony has spectacular views of the dunes, beach & sunset. We heard just a little noise from our own pool & jacuzzi, but did hear more noise from the motel/resort pool, volleyball courts and beach right next door. All the units that end in -01 are on that side. If I return, I'd rent a unit that ends in -02. The jacuzzi was warm, but not steaming hot (a good thing at the beach) and the pool water was cool enough to cool you down. The two gas grills are VERY nice, and there are two decent-sized picnic areas under full cover - which is great for shade and for cooking out even if it's raining. There's a grocery store, dollar store and pharmacy about half a block away, and a Chick Fil-A almost across the street. Many other great restaurants and a few beach bars with live music are within walking distance. As other reviews noted, the building is right next to a public beach with a large parking lot, so it's a somewhat crowded part of the beach. The higher the ending number of the unit, the more your view will be of the parking lot for the public beach and the less it will be of the sand and water. Unit numbers that end in -01 or -02 have the full-on large beach balconies. The condo itself was nice and clean inside, but no one had cleaned the balcony. We saw a wooden kebab stick, a piece of candy and a bobby pin on the balcony floor when we checked in, plus a fair bit of sand.

Very nice!

Check in was super easy. The condo was exactly as pictured. We had everything we needed to cook a few meals and make pina coladas. Deck was pretty big. Pool was very clean and warm; pool deck is pretty small. Beach was absolutely beautiful - white sand and clear water- and beach set up was available and we always got a front row spot no matter what time we went out. Those guys were very friendly as well. We had an assigned covered parking spot. I’d like to come back at some point!

Short Getaway

Very nicely located in relation to the beach. Gorgeous views up and down the beach from the kitchen window, the living area, and the balcony. While on the balcony the noise from the hot tub and pool was a bit annoying at times, but on balance with everything else we adapted to it. Loved the décor and furniture, although we weren't sure prior to arrival that we would like the mirrored wall. Experiencing one sunset convinced us that the mirrored wall was amazing! Also made the space seem larger. Mattress on the king bed was excellent. Even though there were only two of us on this trip, having two full bathrooms was especially convenient. Nice to have washer and dryer in the condo. Pluses and minuses to being immediately adjacent to public parking lot and public beach access - nice to have umbrellas and cabanas to rent, due largely to the public nature of the beach area, but that area of the beach tended to be quite crowded due to the public access, especially on Saturday. We did not mind the crowd at all, but some guests might. Easy enough to take a short walk down the beach and find less crowded space. Enjoyed being within walking distance of the Don Cesar, where we rented paddleboards, and where other beach amenities were also available for rent. We would definitely stay here again, and look forward to doing so.
