  • Oh Nom! for whatever reason the dining room was empty when we walked in. The ambiance & service was charming enough (I particularly enjoyed them showing "Teen Wolf") & the sushi rolls were a great value--the veggie rolls are to be missed but hey we are in the south-->it's always a gamble when your vegetarian appetizer isn't fried :)

Great condo, lovely big master bed! Loved all the hangers! Furniture very wore and very uncomfortable! Does not have an oven so the microwave was already broken on arrival, they did replace but arrived on the last day! So no cooking or heating facility! Great size condo for two adults and two kids!

Great location & beautiful condo. The condo is very nice and views are amazing. Although the condo was great , online pictures are not 100% up to date. There is quite a bit of wear and tear (ex, sofas are very worn and covered with cloth/ no area rug etc) The management company also did not fix a broken knob in our shower for our entire length of stay. We chose not to complain as a small family but were told when we checked in it would be fixed within 24 hours. Otherwise we had a great time in St. Pete.

Dust within Ventilation Impacted Stay

The listing looked exactly as listed and shown within the photos. I have severe allergies and was sneezing the entire time within the condo. I saw that the vents were heavily caked with dust, which made it difficult to comfortably vacation within the space because dust mites consistently flowed through the space. I strongly suggest cleaning the ventilation within the unit and to switch air filters within the space at least every 3 months.

Location.Location.Location.

The location was wonderful with sunny, quiet, Upham Beach as our front yard, sunset views from the balcony nearly every evening, occasional views of dolphins and the sound of waves 24/7, all of which was why we booked here and paid the price we did. The condo was clean and fairly well stocked with dishes, pots n pans, etc… The beds were comfortable and all linens were of a good quality. What little we saw of the pool area, it seemed clean and well kept, as did the grounds around the pool. The parking area was tight but we always had a spot. A couple areas where improvements are needed, specifically in our unit: The sliding screen did not work well at all on one of the balcony doors (never tried the other one) The vertical blinds on the window and both doors were lousy, getting jammed every time we tried to open them and there were panels missing. The lighting for our entrance was very poor, a true security risk as well as very inconvenient to try to see to unlock the door. No where in the information did we read that we would only be supplied 2 rolls of toilet per bathroom and then we would have to buy our own. We had to call and pick up more bath towels/washcloths. Being four adults we didn't use the dishwasher much, just washed up as we went which was good as we were only supplied 2 tablets of soap, for a week. I think we only had one dishcloth and maybe two kitchen towels. If you decide to book here, realize the rental agreement is HEAVILY weighted in favor of the owners. So much so that I'm surprised VRBO hasn't taken exception to it. Be certain you examine the cancellation clause very carefully. We did, so we knew our last day of possible cancellation was 61 days out, no option for partial payment lost at 45 or 30 days out. Cancel 61 days or mire before arrival date or lose all your money. No rooms for natural disasters (think not only things like hurricanes but also red tide). No allowance for emergency health issues like a pandemic. Bottom line: The location is perfect. Upham Beach and St. Pete Beach as a community are awesome, reasonably quiet, family oriented areas. But before renting this or any condo at the Caprice again, we would look at other units much closer and ask a LOT of questions.

Perfect location

My family and I spent 4 nights at Caprice and we are already looking to book again. The views of the gulf were incredible and we loved the short walk to the beach every morning. Our 2 year old loved the pool and searching for sea shells. Amenities were excellent and the location was outstanding. 10/10 would recommend.

Great Spot!

Perfect rental for a week long stay. The unit was clean and spacious, with a good layout for a group! The view from the private balcony was a wonderful surprise, and the proximity to the beach made our stay very relaxing. Staff was wonderful!

End unit with direct Beach and Gulf views. Property was clean and convenient, and manager friendly and helpful. My only caution is that unit does not have washer/dryer; but there's a shared laundry room on the same level.
