Feeling disappointed

This was our 5th time staying at the same unit at Beach Bungalow Place in Indian Rocks Beach. Absolutely love the area…. So beautiful and peaceful! Last year, we mentioned a few items that could use some attention; the bed being the main issue….. also checking in was difficult, some items in the unit needed to be repaired. This year when we arrived, unfortunately, nothing had changed. I felt as though we were paying more money, and receiving less than we had in previous years.don’t think we’ll be going back ☹️

Indian Rocks ……Rocks!!!

This was our 5th trip to Indian Rocks beach….. We absolutely love it there. Peaceful, gorgeous beach! This was the 3rd time we stayed at Beach Bungalow Place…… love the location, on the beach, literally! Unfortunately upon arrival, we had a very difficult time accessing the unit. I don’t know if it was poor communication, or someone w/ little experience; we were sent a multiple number of codes, including a lockbox code; none of which worked! After approximately 30 minutes, we were able to get in to our unit. Everything was clean and just as cozy as I remembered it. It could, however, be refreshed. Little things; sink nozzle in kitchen,very squeaky bed, broken chair in living room, hood light above stove,etc. I would definitely go back; absolutely had a great week, just wasn’t the 5 star, that it was originally 😔 I’m really not one to complain, but, just thought I’d share…..

Pleasant Place

This is a pleasant place to stay. Tiny kitchen had all the amenities except a dishwasher. The bedroom could be too warm and we used the fan provided. Could use new pillows! Otherwise, we totally enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this little bungalow.

Beautiful sunsets

We had an amazing stay. The property was clean and the sunsets were perfect! The extra amenities like the fire pit with firewood, kayaks and paddle boards were beyond nice. Also the convenience of having beach chairs and umbrellas can not be overstated.

Like a home away from home

Property was very clean and everything had a place. It's not huge but you spend the majority of the time outside where there is ample space for everyone staying there. There was a nice fire pit with lots of seating and wood as well as kayaks and paddle boards. Wonderful stay!

This property has everything you can ask for! We would definitely stay here again. The beach chairs, grill, fire pit, bicycles, kayaks and the paddleboard are all easily accessible. We loved how close it was to the beach! It's also within walking distance to stores and a few restaurants. It was really nice to sit by the fire with some other guests a few nights. The only downfall was that the bed was much smaller than expected & the bungalow had the bare necessities (no scissors, no place to hang wet personal items). You'll want to bring/buy your own beach cooler and beach towels too. We bought some & left them for the next guests. Otherwise, it was an absolutely amazing stay!

Fab Beach vacation rental.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our unit was extremely clean and had an amazing view. There are lots of extras, e.g. bikes, kayaks, paddle boards. There was a nice table and chairs right outside our unit for eating outside. My only complaint was that there could have been a few small extras, especially hand soap for the bathroom, a toilet paper holder (currently a role kept in a drawer) and beach towels. I assumed from the rental agreement towels were included so I didn't bring any. All minor stuff though. This place truly was amazing and the management company answered my questions quickly. The area is so nice and the beach was pretty chill for spring break which was exactly what we were looking for. Very family friendly.

Great location, very clean, and being able to walk out to the Gulf is amazing. Very clean, but I recommend this for 2 people. All in all it was a good stay.

Perfect location

Beautiful place with a perfect view of the Gulf. Perfect place or a long weekend for 2. Plenty of restaurants close by, 30 minutes from Tampa Airport, not in a commercial area.....almost like your private beach. We will definitely come back again.

disappointing

We had trouble with the access code on the door when we arrived and had to call and have it reset. The toaster did not work and I called about that, they promised to replace it within 24 hours and never did. One day they had to call me three times regarding some painting they were doing at the complex. We had to keep our curtains drawn the entire time as there were workmen there all day long. Painting actually turned out to be noisy (sanding and pounding) and messy with paint chips, ladders, workmen beverage cans around the grounds. It wasn't the relaxing time we had hoped for. The bed was super uncomfortable, and felt like we were lying in 4 inches of quicksand. The grounds would have been beautiful if it weren't for the painting, etc. It was disappointing on many levels, and we felt not worth the money we paid for the broken equipment and inconvenience of the work that was being done. They called us 5 days before arrival to notify us of the "painting".

Bungalow Beach Place

All was good. Air went out, they responded immediately by sending a freestanding air unit and had repair men there the next morning and fixed the problem. Was nice being right on the beach. And beach was relatively empty. Room was small but we knew that. Could have have a few other items in room like a pitcher or reusable plastic cups. Bed at first seemed worn out but was just super soft and probably one of the most comfortable beds we’ve slept in.

Hidden Gem

We always love this little hidden gem, right on the water. The location is perfect & the bungalow has all of our needs. The only complaint is that the bed desperately needs replaced.

Great location on the beach

This bungalow is in the perfect spot right on the beach in a great town. However it is in need of some serious maintenance. The bed is horribly soft. When your butt is 2" below your shoulders it is time to replace. Hubby had to sleep on the couch. The TV's were a real problem. Took us 2 days to get the LR unit working but never was able to get the BR unit operational. The closet doors came off the rails, and you can't open the cabinets above the microwave because the AC vent is in the way. The owner had been told about the AC vent in a previous review but it was never taken care of. This is a really nice place but some repairs are needed.

Wonderful place right on the beach!

My husband and I spent one week in this adorable unit. The unit was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The bed and pillows were so comfy. We enjoyed all the extras like chairs/umbrellas, and kayaks that were available for us to use. The best thing about this place it is literally a 30 second walk right to the beautiful and not crowded beach. We would highly recommend this place and hope to come back next year!

Great location for beach getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at BB4. The best part by far was that the beach was just outside our front door. Other amenities we appreciated even if we didn’t use them all - beach chairs and tables, outdoor dining tables, fire pit, laundry facilities, bikes, kayaks. Unit was plenty big enough for 2 of us for our short 4 night stay with surprisingly adequate drawers, shelves, cabinets, etc to be able to put all of our “stuff” away, although some of the cabinets were unusable due to being blocked by a ceiling vent cover. Only suggestion for improvement would be to replace worn/dirty chair cushions and area rugs. Also, the pictures on the listing for BBP 4 did not match the actual furnishings. Overall we highly recommend!

Gem of a beach rental

I'd describe this property as a 'gem' among beach vacation rentals - and I've booked a few. It was exactly what I wanted: perfect for one person, comfortable, quiet, clean, and perfectly appointed. I couldn't have asked for a better location. So many properties describe themselves as 'on the beach,' but are actually blocks away. BBP was just as advertised - literally on the beach. I loved walking out the back door and stepping right onto the sand.
