"Parking can be a problem if arriving later in the evening. Follow instructions given by owners. Breakfast is great staff friendly and helpful. Keep entry instructions handy as had a little trouble finding codes. Rooms 7 and 8 are not where you'd think !"

"Very friendly staff all round .The hotel needs a bit updating stairs to room ,we stayed in Apple blossom room which was spacious with a large bathroom .Mini fridge in room with fresh milk nice touch .The room was comfortable in the heatwave ,with a fan included . Felt the detail of cleaning could of been better ( big cobweb under window and handbasin cracked and behind the taps could of done with a clean ) The setting and surroundings really make this hotel a good find .Breakfast served by...

"the Talbot was a little tired ( although it was erected in the middle fifteenth century ), quite quirky, sloping floors, in need of a refurb. Manager Craig was a great host, bar staff Darren & Bren were also top guys. Good selection of beers on tap. Room adequate, bathroom good. Hotel position is a great spot for exploring the area."

"Joules and her Son were absolutely wonderful hosts. We couldn’t have been made to feel any more welcome and we had absolutely everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast was outstanding - lots of choice and super fresh and tasty. Joules’ baking was a great surprise treat, a lovely touch in our room on arrival and the Brownies later in our stay were out of this world! "Lovely clean room, excellent staff, great kitchen. BUT… green light in room not conducive to good sleep, and the fire alarm went off at midnight, after which the excitement seemed to evoke some guests to chat and laugh through the night until 3am, then the same group of four men woke up and continued their frivolities from 5:30am until they left just after 7am. Not the staff’s fault. But the sound proofing is poor."

"The beautiful setting and views of the river Severn were wonderful. The staff were always extremely helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts and evening meals were of very good quality. It was our first visit to Shropshire and we would certainly come back to the Riverside Inn which was perfectly situated for day trips to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and David Austin Roses, among other places."
