"We had reserved a room to be able to see the St Laurence shipping channel. The room given had a balcony, but we needed to hang out over the railing a bit to see the channel and Boldt Castle. They moved us to a fabulous room with a great view! The employees were very friendly and accommodating! Will tell friends!"

"I always enjoy staying at the Stonefence. They are upgrading the pool area so that wasn't available to swim in, but the beautiful river was! I hope that opening the restaurant will work out for them (they were doing a "soft opening" during the stay). I loved my lunch out on the patio, reading my book and seeing the river."

"Staff for checkin and breakfast were great. Room was clean, and the bed was made so well with these bright white sheets. Very comfortable and very welcoming —- I felt safe. Only downside is having one elevator. I question the condition of it, since I had problem as I was checking out (with luggage of course) I got on it (on the third floor) and the doors closed—- yet it didn’t bring me to the first floor. Luckily, the doors responded when I pressed ‘open’ and I was able to get out. Three...
