Las Brisas Caribe - ​A Luxurious and Private 4BR St. John Villa

Las Brisas Caribe means "Caribbean Breezes." Those cool breezes and spectacular sunsets are just two of the extraordinary features of this beautiful villa. Las Brisas Caribe is located in an upscale neighborhood of luxury homes just minutes from the shopping and restaurants of Cruz Bay, and the magnificent, world-renowned North Shore beaches, such as Trunk Bay, Hawksnest Bay and others. If you love sunsets, you will love Las Brisas Caribe.

L​as Brisas Caribe is a 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath home with classic Caribbean architecture and every modern luxury. The villa is completely air-conditioned throughout the bedrooms and common areas, including the great room, gourmet kitchen, and elegant dining room. Each bedroom has its own en suite bath and private outdoor shower. The villa faces south and west with spectacular views of sailboats in the Caribbean Sea and the nighttime lights of St. Thomas. The sunsets at Las Brisas are magnificent, especially when enjoyed from the Crow's Nest - an easily accessible covered roof deck with sunset views of the Caribbean Sea. There is nothing like it on St. John.

Many returning guests compliment the layout of Las Brisas, saying that it provides the perfect combination of private spaces and common areas. Each bedroom and adjoining balcony is situated for privacy. The common areas are spacious and provide comfortable seating. While perfect for communal gatherings, the common areas are also secluded. For example, the sun deck adjacent the large pool and its soothing waterfall is surrounded by lush tropical landscaping, and the Crow's Nest floats above the rest of the world.

Las Brisas Caribe is managed by Suite St. John, a company known for its devotion to superior client service. The villa is owned by Thomas Pardini and Cheryl Ellsworth of Alexandria, Virginia since 2004 and meticulously maintained by them as if they lived full-time in their Caribbean home. Villa Las Brisas Caribe is an architectural gem. The villa was designed to take advantage of its sunset and seaside views, and to offer maximum island luxury with its 8' mahogany doors and native stonework. Las Brisas has been meticulously maintained, and was upgraded in 2018-2019. The pictures on this website are current, taken in 2019.

​As you enter the estate, you step onto a sun-bathing/star-gazing antique brick deck which overlooks the spacious pool. The poolside deck includes lounge chairs for sunning while the gazebo provides shade, if desired. A soothing waterfall descends from the sun deck into the pool. The pool is private, as it is surrounded by lush tropical landscaping.

Looking toward the Great House, you immediately notice the elegant columns which functionally define shady common spaces, such as the front veranda (perfect for reading and conversation) and outdoor dining room, both of which overlook the pool area.

L​​as Brisas Caribe sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms, all of which are air conditioned and include louvered mahogany screened doors and ceiling fans. Each bedroom is distinctly furnished and secure.

The Orchid Suite (master bedroom) has a four poster hand-carved king size bed, tiled bath with two vanities, an antique-style soaking tub and private outdoor shower. The balcony overlooks the pool with views of St. Thomas.

The Bougainvillea Suite is above the main entrance to Las Brisas Caribe in a privately located separate building east of the Great House. It includes a queen bed, private bath and private outdoor shower. The Bougainvillea Suite has sea views, while still overlooking the pool, its landscaping and St. Thomas.

The sister suite of The Bougainvillea Suite is The Palm Suite, situated in a building to the west of the Great House and steps away from the great room and kitchen. It includes a queen bed, private bath, private outdoor shower and balcony overlooking the pool and St. Thomas.​

The Hibiscus Suite is downstairs from The Palm Suite in the west building. Its separate entrance opens to the pool deck and gazebo. It includes two twin beds that convert to a king bed, private bath and private outdoor shower. The Palm Suite enjoys poolside and tropical landscaping views.​

​Las Brisas Caribe is located on Maria Bluff, the south shore peninsula between Great Cruz Bay (where The Westin Resort is located) and Chocolate Hole. This is a quiet neighborhood of expensive homes, many of which are occupied by full-time residents. The restaurants, shopping and nightlife of Cruz Bay are within a 5-10 minute drive on paved roads. Three modern food stores are within minutes of the villa. The US Virgin Islands National Park and its spectacular beaches are 15 minutes away. Las Brisas Caribe provides beach chairs, beach towels, and coolers for your use.​

St. John is a special place and Las Brisas Caribe wants to ensure that St. John is environmentally protected. Solar panels were installed to take advantage of its southern exposure and supply 30% or more of Las Brisas's power consumption (you will not see the solar panels until you climb to the Crow's Nest). Any unused power is returned to the island. The air conditioning units (new in 2019) are optimized for efficiency. The oversized cisterns at Las Brisas are under the great room and collect rainwater which is then triple-filtered for household use. In addition, our state-of-the-art septic system cleans waste water and returns it to the landscaping irrigation system. This includes water from the laundry room (two washers and two dryers that are available for the use of our guests). Las Brisas Caribe is a non-smoking, pet-free villa.
