Our St John condo is a wonderful, 1bedroom, 1 bath vacation rental conveniently located just steps from Cruz Bay on a quiet residential street just past Gallows Point Resort with great breezes and water views. Frank Bay Beach is just around the corner and the sunsets are amazing from here! Our condo has Caribbean inspired colors and amenities, perfect for adults, honeymooners or couples with all the comforts of home with a little more privacy and affordability than St John hotels or resorts.

With 10' high ceilings, cool tiled floor, and ocean views are a welcoming island retreat. Villa La Mer has air conditioning, and fans throughout with regular tradewinds.

Step from the living room or bedroom onto our large porch with an outdoor teak dining table, lounge chairs, an island inspired hammock, and electric BBQ grill. The porch overlooks the shared (with four other condos) pool and some of the best sweeping views of the Caribbean and other islands, and of course sunsets you will forever remember.

The spacious living room has a floor to ceiling bookshelf, TV, & CD Player, and we have WiFi.

Our kitchen is well stocked by my mother (a Southern cook!) , so you should have everything you need to fix an elaborate meal or blend your favorite island concoctions.

The property is beautifully landscaped with year-round blossoming plants and you will absolutely love the large pool that is privately shared with the other four units on the property.

Our condo is very well maintained and our Welcome Team will also be available if have any questions about the condo.

We hope you enjoy our island home away from home.

***La Mer is not available from mid-August until the first week in October.

Adele is a wonderful host! Very responsive with lots of information. Her lovely condo has everything you need for a great stay on St John-beach chairs and towels, coolers, fully stocked kitchen along with a great location close to Cruz Bay. Warmly decorated, clean and very comfortable. Pam is an excellent greeter and a great resource for all things St John.

The location was perfect for us—-a short walk to commercial areas but on a quiet street. The view from the veranda/deck was wonderful. We enjoyed the sunset every nightl Patti was accommodating and responsive to our requests.

Great Location for Relaxing Vaca

We were greeted by a host when we arrived, which was a great touch to make us feel comfortable. Location was within walking distance of Cruz Bay, which was also very nice since we did not have to worry about parking. Loved the porch overlooking ocean with hammock. Beaches are a close drive away. We appreciated having a cooler and beach chairs provided for our beach excursions.

Comfortable Condo

Great stay in a great location. We had a wonderful stay. The manager Patti met with us upon our arrival and was so helpful with getting to know the place and the area with lots of great recommendations of things to do. We would definitely stay here again.

American Paradise

The views from the villa are gorgeous, and the accessibility to town perfect. The villa is fully equipped. It is a testament to St. John charm and comfort. The island itself is spectacular, easy to navigate by car and the islanders are beyond friendly, kind and helpful. We wish we could stay here longer. God willing, we will return. Good vibes.

The location of the condo is perfect for a walk into town. Parking in Cruz Bay is very difficult, so having the ability to walk into town was key!! The physical space in the condo was perfect for us. One bedroom, one bath, the "one fanny" kitchen (it's pretty narrow- only one person at a time!), and great living space inside and out. We appreciated Patty meeting us for check-in, as well as the wonderful communication prior. Loved the pool and the view. Could not have found a more perfect spot for a week in St. John.

Beautiful, convenient place in Cruz Bay

This is a really bright, comfortable, and pleasant place within easy walking distance of central Cruz Bay. We stayed here in 2015, when it was surrounded by construction and lacked air conditioning. With the construction noise gone and the installation of air conditioning (which we only used in the bedroom at night), the villa is now top-notch. There are still roosters, but being able to close windows and use AC meant they weren't an issue. Patti was communicative and accommodating, and check-in and -out were straightforward. I don't have anything to add from the other reviews other than to agree with them (except to say that we found the bed perfectly comfortable and not hard at all).

Villa Caribe / Villa La Mer

My husband & I loved our stay at Villa Caribe/ Villa La Mer. We are very familiar with this area of Cruz Bay and were happy to have had the opportunity to stay at Villa La Mer. Everything was perfect - very clean, beautifully decorated. We appreciated the art made by local artisans depicting not only the tropical beauty of the VI, but also the people & culture of St. John. We enjoyed the large deck, overlooking the pool, and watching the car barge come & go...while relaxing in the hammock! The kitchen was fully stocked with kitchen gadgets, spices, and pots & pans which made it super easy for me to make Christmas dinner that we enjoyed with family at the lovely teak dining table on the deck. Patti, the property manager, was very nice and communicated well with us. We would not hesitate to stay here again! :-)-Rick & Cordella

A excellent place to stay in Cruz Bay

The apartment was very comfortable, with a large balcony and dining table, hammock, etc. offering a great view. The complex pool was very nice on a hot day. A short walk along the beach to restaurants, bars, and the dolphin market for provisions as well as the ferry dock and national park visitors center.

Great property and location was perfect!!

The property was perfect for what we were looking for. Convenient walking distance to all the activities in Cruz Bay. The walk back to the property was a little uphill but wasn't big a challenge. The deck was amazing with great views. Patti was great to work with for checking in. The apartment had everything that was needed for a great stay. Kitchen was well stocked. We cooked a couple of meals and didn't seem to be lacking anything we needed. Pool was convenient and comfortable. We used the pool most nights and we were the only people I saw using it. It was cool to see big iguanas in the trees in the yard from the deck. We counted 14 on our last day. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely Stay in Cruz Bay

We absolutely loved this condo! the location was perfect, walking distance to town but still quiet. And the back deck was our favorite hang out spot. The property manager Patti, was so nice and easy to communicate with. We can't wait to stay here again

Great launching pad for St. John adventuring

This condo on Cruz bay is exactly as described. It is clean, well-stocked with essentials, has some great books to read about St. John, and it is close to town. We loved being able to walk into Cruz bay (it’s about a 5-7 minute walk to the Cruz Bay landing area). We also liked walking down to Frank Bay in the morning. There’s a peacock around there so that was cool to see. We enjoyed the covered deck for relaxing and coffee in the morning. We go to St. John often and we spend our days hiking, snorkeling, and going to the beach so this was a perfect little spot to rest and unwind after our exploring. The hammock is a great touch. Patti, the property manager, was awesome! Extremely kind and responsive.

St. John getaway

We loved this property. It was just as expected and had all the necessary items and more. The property manager Patti met us upon arrival and gave us the overviev. Very grateful for the beach chairs, towels and coolers we used everyday. Convenient to walk every evening to dinner or out on the town.

We really enjoyed our stay here. King bed was very comfortable and we liked the AC splits for the bedroom. Pool was amazing and quiet. Living space was really nice and large for a rainy day. Deck was more comfortable than most, with choices for sun and shade. Did have a sunset view, but just know that it's just a narrow view now because trees on neighboring properties are blocking it some. But there was still penalty of beautiful water views. Just loved this villa! And the owner and caretaker were both fantastic as well. thank you!

Can’t wait to book again!

My husband and I spent a week vacationing in St John for our anniversary and had a great experience here! Adele and Patti were so welcoming and made everything so easy for us. Our favorite things: - The property is just a short walk to Cruz Bay. - The pool is private, quiet and so refreshing for an afternoon dip after the beach. - The deck is perfect for coffee and breakfast in the morning or watching the sunset in the evening. We can’t say enough good things about this property and look forward to booking again in the future!

Don’t stay here if you want a good night sleep!!!!!!

This was one of the worst experiences of our lives. Once we arrived at the property, we immediately noticed the bedroom. Before discussing the bedroom, we do note that the property is in a great location close to town. It is also large with a nice balcony and a relaxing hammock as well as a pool. Now back to the bedroom. We laid on the bed and discovered that it was extremely uncomfortable. We saw some of the reviews that mention that the bed was firm, but that is a complete understatement. We have stayed in hotels, motels and the like all over the world. This bed was the most uncomfortable we have ever attempted to sleep on hands down!! It felt like you were sleeping on a piece of plywood. Unfortunately, we were UNABLE to sleep on this so-called “mattress”. It was impossible and we stayed up all night for two nights in a row. Unfortunately, the bed situation complexly ruined the vacation. It led to two tired people who were extremely irritable, to say the least. After two nights of not sleeping, we vacated the property even though we had rented it out for 4 nights. We left and headed to another resort. I’ve never wrote a review before regarding a stay. The quality of the bed warranted writing this review. If you want to sleep on vacation and have an enjoyable vacation, we would strongly suggest that you NOT book this home. Perhaps, a drop in bookings will force this owner to finally purchase a satisfactory bed for her guests. This was simply a horrible experience.
