Within St. James Plantation, you'll find miles of scenic walking and biking trails, marina access with transient boat docking, the Intracoastal Waterway, and a charming free library just two miles away in front of the St. James Fire Station. Operating on the honor system and stocked with newer books, it's the perfect place to pick up your next vacation read or leave one behind for another guest. The Marsh Winds community pool is conveniently located directly across from the condo, making it easy to take a refreshing swim whenever you'd like.



When you're ready to explore, historic Southport is just five minutes away. Stroll the picturesque waterfront, browse local boutiques, and enjoy several award-winning restaurants overlooking the Cape Fear River. And of course, no coastal getaway is complete without the beach! Oak Island's sandy shoreline is just a 19-minute drive away. During your stay, you'll enjoy access to the exclusive St. James Plantation Beach Club, featuring private beach access, an oceanfront pool, and restrooms. (Please note that paid public parking on 72nd Street is required.)



Inside, two comfortable and private queen bedroom suites share a well-equipped kitchen and inviting living and dining area. The condo features comfortable beds, Smart TVs, tasteful furnishings, and a private back porch overlooking a peaceful nature preserve and Polly Gully Creek. With a pull-down sunshade for added privacy, the porch feels like your own secluded treehouse, the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, read a book, bird-watch, or unwind while taking in the sunset.

The Marsh Winds pool will typically be open for use from May 1st to the second week of October.

Rental Policies:

In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.



Golf Carts are prohibited at this property.



Arrival/Departure:

Summer Check-Ins (June-August) begin at 4:00 pm and are guaranteed by 6:00 pm

Check Out is by 10:00 am

We adhere to this policy, so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

Pool Notice:

Pools are generally open from Memorial Day until Labor Day; however, pool closures may be dictated by the HOA or the Health Department. Pools may also be closed after a hurricane or tropical storm. Sea Coast Rentals/Owners will not be held accountable. No refunds will be issued for these closures.



Pet Policy:

No pets allowed.



Cancellation Policy:

We want to make sure you’re aware of our cancellation policy. If you cancel when your arrival date is more than 60 days away, you will receive a full refund.  If you cancel when your arrival date is less than 60 days away, you will forfeit your deposit.



Things To Do:

Oak Island is known for its golden sand beaches, calming blue waters, friendly community, and proximity to the cities of Southport, Wilmington, and Myrtle Beach. There are many cute island coffee shops, stores, breweries, and a park that showcases a splash pad for summer fun! With a beautiful Golf Club open to summer travelers and over 100 public water access points, there is an abundance of all things adventurous to do on Oak Island! 



If you'd like to keep your fitness routine going while on vacation, you can get an out-of-town Gym pass at Oak Island Recreation Center. Utilize the Rec Center's ample parking, put in at the Kayak ramp, and spend hours kayaking our beautiful marshes.  Sit on the lawn and enjoy a night off cooking at our Weekly Friday night "Summer Concert In The Park" with a couple of local food truck options at this family-centric Live Music event. Beach Day takes place in Oak Island on the Friday before July 4th and features all-day activities followed by fireworks on the island that evening.



Visit Historic Southport, a seafaring town just five miles from our island, for a bigger nightlife. Southport, at the confluence of the Cape Fear River and the Atlantic Ocean, features a variety of different restaurants, bars, live music and shopping. It is one of our favorite places to walk around and check out different food and live music on the weekends. There are free parking options all over town, and you can easily walk to dozens of places while enjoying the breeze from the riverfront and admiring historic homes and general store buildings that date back to the early 1800s. Southport's State Fourth of July Festival is a three-day street fair with artists from all over the state, vendors, and food. It is truly like being in an Andy Griffith episode with the parade and grand finale fireworks show over the riverfront in Southport.
