REDFISH Gulf view POOL steps from the beach on E. Gorrie Dr.

Property sits just over the dune line road (East Gorrie Drive) from the lovely and quieter EAST END beaches. Great fishing and uncrowded areas for relaxing in the sand. Excellent for small families or couples (Four person maximum) who can enjoy separate private spaces indoors and out. Two master bedrooms with brand new king beds and luxurious pillow top mattresses. This second floor cottage has been recently remodeled and redecorated. Lovely (shared) pool and gorgeous gulf views from large picture windows in the front room as well as the master bedroom. Great star gazing from the uncovered Front Deck. Large furnished screened porch with seating and dining area.
The swimming pool is shared with two other cottages but the overall properties are each very private and do not get in the way of each other as they all have their own private exclusive outdoor spaces. 😎 you will be hard pressed to find a better overall spot for your vacation dollars. Beach wagon, 8ft umbrella and folding beach chairs on site for guest use. Fast high-speed internet with wifi speed tests > 500 mbps often seen.

Perfect beach property! Cross the street and get the full beach relax seasion. The local food establishments are awesome chill locations. BJs Pizza tops that list. I do reccomend if you plan a longer stay, get groceries off the island. Quick response time from the owners if something missing!

Winter break

Once again, the stay was wonderful. Unit is in great location for beach walk and view. Brandon was easy to work with and Joe was quick to check out any issue that came up. Nice touch to have container of coffee and filters there upon arrival. Unit is very dog friendly. Place was clean and well stocked. Once we found out the door code required a light touch, there was no problem getting in.Great weather overall and looking forward to coming back next year. Looking forward to the new updates planned.

Surprisingly Disappointed

The home is average for St. George Island. First, there is NO hot water at the bathroom sinks and the water in the shower only gets luke warm. The bathrooms are very outdated and grungy. The beds are very old and fold to the middle so if you have a bad back, you’ll understand. The TV’s do not (even though it connected to Dish)connect to anything but “live” local channels. Apparently this is not a “house” but a series of “units”: house cut into 3 separate units, which was weird. The kitchen had minimal utensils/pots/pans and the oven does not get to correct template. Could be a much better experience with some updating and convenience items. It was spacious, quiet and had a fantastic view of the gulf for the sunrise abs sunsets.

Visited SGI for the Florida Seafood Festival in Apalachicola. This is the second year in a row that we have stayed at this location and it is excellent. Clean, spacious and convenient to the public beach access. We plan to be back again. The owner was exceptional to deal with.

Short getaway

Perfect for me!

Redfish worked out perfectly for me! The upstairs cottage was neat, clean and organized. Brandon communicated quickly and politely throughout my stay. Hurricane Helene cut my trip a day short due to mandatory evacuation unfortunately. But I guess that just means I’ll have to go back and visit Redfish again soon! Thanks!

Husbands 50th getaway

Older home on the outside but updated and nicely kept on the inside. Location was great easy short walk to the beach. Pool was enjoyable. Quiet relaxing stay. We will be back.

Great time!

Cute, second level home with 2 comfortable king beds in each room! Shared pool with 2 other units. Great location. SGI is a wonderful place to relax, ride the waves and fish!

Redfish Cottage Review

Really enjoyed our stay in Redfish- spacious 2/2 upstairs unit. Loved the screen porch. Plenty of seating. New owner was easy to communicate with. Place was clean and appliances up to date. Comfy beds and pillows. Pool was a nice thing to have! Good views, beach wagon was nice to have. Very close walk to beach. Kitchen was stocked with basic pots pans and utensils. Nice and spacious parking outside. Plenty of privacy. I wouldn’t call these cons -more just Our personal preference/needs-and to let others know to bring these items- if they choose- maybe a couple of larger pots to do low country boil or steamed crab legs in would be great. We cook a lot on vacay. We luckily brought our countertop icemaker. Nice fridge, no icemaker. Glad we brought ours. I do know the new owners have made lots of improvements since I first reserved the unit (before new owners took over. ) Loved that it could be a great place for future vacations with friends since it’s 3 cottages in 1. Would definitely recommend a stay in Redfish! We plan to return! Thank you Brandon, for providing a practical, clean, and comfortable place at St George Island!

Great stay!

The host is very accommodating and provides everything you could need. It is steps from the beach and has an ocean view! The outdoor space and living area are perfect for family hang outs and to play games. The only negative thing we have to say is the shower heads probably need replacing. One shower had no shower pressure and the other was so small and the shower head didn’t move so it was hard to wash your whole body. Regardless I would stay here again! We highly recommend this property.

Perfect beach getaway

We had a fantastic, relaxing stay. The property is the top floor of a house with outdoor stair access. Beach access is 9e a short walk from the property. The property was clean and in good condition (including the common areas - pool, grills, outdoor showers). We ate on the beautiful deck every meal for our stay. So much space for my kids to play. Missing it already!

This was a really nice, laid back place to stay. Loved the space; lots of room for the 4 of us. Huge picture windows to see the ocean. The screenwd in porch was really big and a great place to have meals. We definitely plan on coming back!!

Fantastic Trip!

Redfish on St George Island was wonderful! It was so peaceful and relaxing. It’s just steps from the beach and very quiet. It’s the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed and had enough space for myself and 2 teenagers. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions I had. We hope to return soon!

Excellent cottage

Redfish Is an excellent place to stay. Very neat and clean. Spacious bedrooms and living areas. A very large lanai with a fantastic view of the ocean. Brandon has been very nice and easy to communicate with!
