While we agree with the description of the uniqueness of the property, we would never stay here again. 1st-The front patio looked like a catchall space, old tub behind an outdoor sofa, a rusted-out fire pit shoved in the corner, tree debris throughout the patio, makeshift umbrella stand, with no umbrella, no ashtrays outdoors- generally, uninviting entrance. 2nd, Coffee cups in the cupboard were put away unwashed. The two fry pans were greasy with food caked on and left in a greasy, unclean oven. 3rd- Mold in the shower and the toilet is elevated and very uncomfortable to use. We couldn't help but wonder if the sheets were cleaned. Did anyone really clean up beforehand? - Granted we were visiting during the Night of Lights and expected some street noise. However, we did now know that all the property around the cottage was used as a parking lot each night we were there. The noise and foot traffic around the house until 10:30 p.m. was unnerving. This cottage needs a lot of TLC, from cleaning the outside, painting the baseboards & bathroom door inside, cleaning the moldy shower (which we did not use), repairing broken & chipped tiles around the toilet, and removing the multiple-layered carpets to eliminate tripping. I highly recommend closing off the entrance to the "owners' parking lot" adjacent to the cottage entrance to stop foot traffic all around the cottage entrance and bedroom window. This was probably once a nice little retreat but has fallen into disarray.
