"A last minuet birthday break for my wife. Usually like contempory hotels but this quaint beautiful hotel was amazing. Beautiful decor comfy bed and amazing staff who could not do enough for you. We had milk in the room instead of using the pot cream... they even brought a little fridge for in and on the next night the fridge had a new bottle of milk.. absolutely amazing staff. 11 out of 10 and thank you for making our stay so pleasurable. Will hope to return. Thank you RP."

"Check in was very slow rang bell stood for 10 minutes with no answer, commenced check in, moved car to hotel side of building and then started process all over again Booking direct they offer better discounts as per card in room, tried via Green King app without success Could have stayed elsewhere with better views and breakfast included Choosing a place to stay, I will go past this one every time"

"When in bed we noticed the cobwebs hanging from the ceiling The bedside lockers were sticky Out room 107 one of the back rooms Small and right above the big air condition ing outside really noisy all night Really dissapointed with our stay especially as it was a birthday weekend Breakfast service was all mixed up we ended up with other people’s breakfast staff not paying attention. Plates were being passed around"

"The setting of this BnB is absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was perfect nothing fancy just exactly what you need, we specifically enjoyed the homemade rhubarb compote! The room was part of a converted barn and really cosy. The host was lovely. "

"We had previously eaten at this hotel and were so impressed that we decided pay another visit and stay the night. We were not disappointed. The room was excellent. Every member of staff we met were warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was superb. Appledore is such a lovely destination and a stay at the Royal George makes it all the more special. "Our stay could not have been better. The Kentisbury Grange has beautiful setting the room was immaculate and had such lovely finishing touches from the towel to the decorative flower on the toilet roll. We only stayed for one night with breakfast included. The breakfast was delicious and service was great."

"Deluxe Double Room, 1 King Bed: We stayed two nights, one in a nice room over top of the pool hall in the back, and another over top of the bar/restaurant facing the waterfront. Being off season, both rooms were quiet enough after bedtime, and we slept well. Internet was good. Breakfast was okay, good enough, but not up to the standards of a modern hotel buffet. Parking was easy, and everything in the town was only a very short walk away."

"We had a brief overnight stay at The Rocky Cove B&B for our time in Ilfracombe, North Devon. Being an older property, the amenities were adequate for our short stay. We were lucky enough to find parking at the front of the property but like all places in the UK, if this was not available, would have been challenging. Our host was very accommodating but be sure to note that even though the property is a B&B, breakfast may not automatically be included in your rate which the host pointed out...

"Staff wasn’t that helpful as expected, they charge me extra for children still wasn’t very friendly . I didn’t like my stay there at all !"

"Our 2nd stay at the Sailors Rest...Nice room with fantastic views & a huge king size bed... Great shower & mini fridge with fresh milk & water ...nice touch. Happy with our 1 night stay in Beautiful Appledore & hopefully will return to the Sailors Rest in the future."
