Even though this property knew more than a 10 days ahead that they would experience a total power outage in the town, for the night of our arrival, they informed no one. They left a slip of paper in the rooms saying this information which we read by flashlight once we arrived. The AC and other amenities we paid for were a moot point because of this. They refused to compensate us in any way ,after taking away our choice by not alerting us or anyone ahead of time.
The beds were God Awful, we had prepaid for 2 separate nights with no refund, even switching rooms did not help. The beds are hard as rocks and lumpy to boot! Pillows were all overstuffed so you couldn't get comfortable.
One of our rooms had no sink in the bathroom, instead it was near the front door of the room. This is a very old property, so some things are expected, like weird room configurations or baseboard placements, but there were holes in the baseboards/floor trims in our room. With a restaurant downstairs, this is the perfect place for mice to be running in and out of.
They conveniently have no one at the check in desk until later afternoon, so if you want to complain or talk to someone, don't hold your breath.
