"This is a 2 star hotel. So expect a 2 star experience and you will be happy. It’s super old, they clean it as well as they can but it’s old! For $67 a night you can’t expect much. It was somewhere for us to sleep at night after our long days at West Edmonton Mall. The jets in the hot tub don’t work but it was still really hot. "They took my credit card payment way in excess of what was posted, then an additional 490.00 unauthorized payment. Nite staff person she was very rude and abrupt. Room was cold and would not heat more without a plug in heater. Day staff she was awesome "

"The rooms are very basic, clean, comfortable bed, very affordable with restrooms and showers down the hall. If you simply require a place to sleep in the Whyte Ave. neighbourhood, the Commercial is a good option. The historic pub downstairs is a bonus. Lots of dining spots within a couple of blocks, plus the nearby Farmers Market, bookshops, and many great local businesses. "
