"The first room we were given had some weird splatter on the ceiling, tv and floor. There was also a wasp in the room. We asked for a diff room this one was much cleaner but smelt like cat pee."

"We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Maple Hill is a piece of living history and it was a privilege to stay there. The owners are excellent stewards of this absolute gem. Our room was huge and very comfortable. Every detail in the house is stunning. We took time to look at everything inside and outside so that we could absorb the beauty of the home and property. And the breakfast was BETTER than a restaurant! Getting dessert in the evening was such a lovely treat and a romantic...

"This property is like staying in Colonial Williamsburg. It is very old. The floors creek, the pipes sing in the night and there is little to stop any noise coming from other rooms. Beware the nails sticking out of the ancient hardwood floors! This is not very accessible if you have walking issues. Lots of uneven pathways. The drive out there is scary at night! Do not take the fastest route to get there from the airport- take the straightest way. But the place is exceptionally quiet and peaceful....

"This is a beautifully renovated property perfect for bourbon lovers! The bar and speakeasy are fantastic as is the restaurant. The one thing to keep in mind is the hotel is not within walking distance of downtown. We were able to schedule taxis after talking to the hotel staff. Definitely a great place to stay in Bardstown!"

"We had reserved and paid for a 2 bed room but were given a single bed with a roll away. We were not given any advanced notice of the change and were not able to cancel and look for other accommodations. It was very hard to shower as the curtain did not reach the floor and had no barrier preventing the shower floor from flooding."

I got some in the evening and had to go back to the front desk again the next morning to get the rest of the towels. I wasn't the only guest to do this as I saw others with piles of towels. I asked about my room being cleaned after the 2nd night. I was assured that my room was a priority. We left for the day, came back at 2pm to find...
